This is a pretty easy (and fun!) game to play. From your character's point of view you give one of the choices for the person above you.
Mate = characters would be friends
Date = your character would date them
Hate = they wouldn't like each other
Rate = for teachers/adults about kids or student/student. Basically a 'they're a good kid endorsement.'
Jailbait = do I really need to explain this one? Older character to younger. Or younger character to older.
Got it? M'kay! So, since there's noone above me, I'll give an example using SPIKE!
Mate
Audrey and Spikey would get along okay... this being said, she wouldn't be able to tolerate his upbeat cheeriness all the time or be patient with him when he's cranky in the morning or after work.
