Lifting his head up slowly in case something else was flying at them, he turned to see that the large spiked wrecking ball had veered off course and into a metal structure behind them. The ball had shifted with the wind that he had accidentally released. Did the wind do that? Did I do that? The wind had saved him yet again. Perhaps the wind was not all bad. Although if it weren’t for this wind I most likely wouldn’t be in this situation in the first place.
But also, the girl had saved him. It was strange. How did someone notice something like that before it struck? Even if she had saw it, it was coming at such a high speed that one would not have had time to warn the others before being hit by it. There was something amiss about that girl and perhaps the blonde one too.
He turned back in front to see what might have thrown the sphere at them. Previous experience had taught him that these entities could hide themselves and so he was surprised to see that a girl standing in the distance. Squinting, he could just make out the form of a girl with long dark, hair. The girl’s black hair actually reminded him of Nemi but he doubted that she would be able to do such a thing. He was more shocked at the fact that there was actually a tangible enemy in front of him that he could see. This could be either a blessing or a curse.
At the moment, it was a curse. Said enemy was doing something and it did not look good for them. The girl was controlling metal, there was no doubt about that, and she was currently controlling a silvery substance that was coming towards them towards them. Out of the corner of his eye, Nate watched the purple haired girl stand up to inspect the liquid metal as it surrounded them and began to form deadly shapes and weaponry.
As one of them neared the photographer, it formed a spiked ball. Nate scrambled up as quickly as possible, ignoring the bruises and cuts along his hands. The deadly weaponry moved much slower than the wrecking ball had, but they surrounded the quartet and were quickly closing in on them.
“Anyone have any ideas on how to live?” asked the unnamed purple haired girl.
Nate considered the situation. The metal objects were coming closer and decreasing the space between them. If they tried to run, there was no chance that they would be able to get out unscathed. He needed to think, and fast. There was always the wind; it had saved him before, maybe it will help in this situation. Best case scenario, it would blow the objects away. Worst case scenario, it would blow the objects around erratically hitting and or killing them all in the process. But what other alternative did they have?
The problem was that it also meant blowing the other three around as well. Then again why should he care? Because that would mean killing people and even you are not that evil, he told himself mentally. If he warned them then perhaps and they braced themselves for the gale then it was worth a shot. However, it meant telling them about his ability. Then again, they probably knew already and he would much rather live with people knowing than dying with a secret like that.
”I could try to blow them away, but you guys might want to hold onto something if I do.” ________________________

Well, that was odd to say in the least. Never had he ever really been in danger (unless he counted the numerous times he pushed Nori and Shin’ya to the point of killing him), so seeing that he, “Nori” and the girls were in momentary danger kind of intrigued him. But what intrigued him the most at this very moment was the sudden rush of wind he had felt earlier and the figure off in the distance.
Nachi took a small step forward and focused as best he could on only the figure. It seemed to be a girl to him, but he couldn’t exactly be sure from this distance. The only thing he was sure was that the little bits of sunlight that managed to peek over the clouds was reflecting off of this shiny liquid that was near the girl. He’d never seen anything like that, but he had an odd feeling that this girl was oddly dangerous and it was best to leave as quickly as he possibly could. However, in a blink of an eye, the quartet was surrounded by this odd liquid. It almost looked like melted metal.
“What the hell is that?” the young Shirokane muttered to himself as watched it slowly grow and form sharp objects from the liquid metal. This wasn’t normal at all; how the hell was this even possible? Wanting to escape from this little ring of metal, it occurred to him that maybe he could try jumping over it, but a threatening voice at the back of his head (that reminded him of a certain ebony-haired femme) kept him from doing so. Apparently, it was telling him he was good as dead if he even dared to get near the metal.
“Anyone have any ideas on how to live?”
The male immediately turned his head to the pretty purple-maned girl, his head quirked to the side. Getting the hell out of here would be one, he thought seriously, his face void of nearly all amusement. It was a rare moment indeed if Nachi was being serious rather than being his usual flamboyant self, but he didn’t really like being trapped too much. It was like being trapped between the terrifying Scylla and the mighty Charybdis. He was pretty sure if they stayed there like sitting ducks, they’d die. But if they tried getting passed the metal, they’d also die because of the sharp protrusions. This situation wasn’t pleasant enough to be too joyful.
“I could try to blow them away, but you guys might want to hold onto something if I do.”
The tenor voice of the male next to Nachi made the silver-eyed male jump slightly. That was right! He forgot about Nori! He’d figure out a way to get the four of them out of here. There would absolutely be no reason to be so serious anymore now that his brother was stepping up to the plate. And so confident was Nachi of his “brother” that he put on that usual flirty smile of his and hugged “Nori.” Well, wasn’t he awfully lucky that he got to be with his brother in a time like this? I can always depend on Nori, he thought cheerfully as he nuzzled “Nori’s” cheek with his own.
“Ne, but can I have a kiss from you first just in case we die, Nori?” the young Shirokane teased while a low chuckle escaped his lips. It was then that something dawned on him. What the hell did he mean he would try to the metal away? How would his brother perform such an impossible feat such as that? He’d have to be something like a superhero to do something like that. The thought of his brother in spandex suddenly crossed his mind, making him burst out into a laughing fit. The thought was utterly priceless.
“How exactly do you plan on blowing them away, nii-chan? What are you, Superman?” he asked between laughs, wiping away some tears from his eyes from how hard he laughed. He wasn’t going to be serious about this situation, so he was going to depend on his brother to do so just like they always did when they were younger.[/style] | [atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, padding-left: 15px,bTable][STYLE=border: 4px solid #222222; width: 100px; height: 100px; float:bottom][/style][STYLE=font-family: georgia; font-size: 27px; color:#222222; letter-spacing: -4px; line-height: 22px; float: top;]I'm known for taking what I think I deserve[/style] |

Honestly, what was she to expect with a huge metal ball heading in her direction. However, it didn't happen. Was it due to her late reaction, or a stroke of luck, or what? Or perhaps the person that threw the spiky metal ball had no intended to kill, just to scare. But by the looks of it, it had just narrowly missed the group of people she was with and that something must have knocked it out of the way. What, Joze could not even imagine. It must have been something rather strong. And silent, as she had not heard a loud metallic clang recently. Joze was still a little scared to look up, but as she could somewhat see rising figures (if she squinted), she figured it was best to assess the situation as well. Ducking on the ground would do nothing to help her besides provide her with an almost false sense of security.
She got up slowly, as if getting up to fast would make her regret something. Scared of something, but what could she be scared about. Oh right, because there definitely wasn't some obstacle in the distance that was out threatening her very life, throwing metal balls at her and pretty much condemning her to death, if she let it. However, Joze had a very strong will to live (or so, she had always assumed), and if she could prevent her death, and all the others around her, so be it.
But their enemy seemed stronger this time. Hell, it seemed like she could control metal, and that wasn't a nice thought. Metal could probably kill her. Hell, ice could have killed her too, but anyone with their head screwed on correctly would assume metal was stronger than ice, or at the very least do more damage than ice. There was also the fact that she actually looked human, in contrast to her last encounter, which was a man encased in ice. She looked human, although she was far off in the distance.
The girl did something. She did something, and Joze was suddenly fearing her life for it. Holy shit, something was happening. Even from how far she was, she could feel the girl smirking. If she weren't paralyzed in fear, she would have bolted out of here as soon as she possibly could before the floating liquid blobs of metals got anywhere near her. She wasn't sure if it were her feet moving subconsciously or not, but she found herself getting herded towards the middle, avoiding the metal, but never quite making a full escape, much to her great disappointment. Scared as she was, she tried to respond to Katie's question. Unfortunately, there was no good news she could offer. "Sorry, I'm a bit useless..."
This was the first time she took notice of the men, or in particular one of them. She didn't know either of their names, but it seemed like he said... to blow it away? What could he do, manipulate wind or something? Seeing these events occurring (especially the fact that the metal ball had no hit any of them), she was pretty positive that he could do just that - or some variation of it. However, it was a little doubtful it would work at all. Still, it was probably worth a try.
Then she felt something in her pocket. It was as though, something dropped, as it felt heavier than usual. A sudden, heavy object in her pocket. How was that even possible? But nonetheless, she ventured to take the foreign object out. It was a knife of sorts, but how would it help her here? Surely, there must be a reason she found such a thing suddenly in her pocket, but she could not fathom how to use it. The knife would be utterly useless in this situation, when they were trying to get away from metal liquid that was squishing the four together (or would soon be). If only she had... what could prevent them from death by metal liquid? |

Claire wiped a bead of sweat that had trickled down her forehead. The metal structure refused to move to her will, she knew she was getting closer but she was not as strong as she had believed she was. Claire bit her tongue as she squinted to try and force the metal to cooperate. The metal groaned in response, it was clear her influence was affecting the metal but she had to have more time in order to actually manipulate that much metal. She ground her teeth slightly as she tried to force the metal to strike.
In response the metal structure continued to lean towards the group of humans. They were still going to die at Claire's hand but she just needed a bit more time. She glanced sideways at her liquid metal that was forcing the group into a small herd like sheep. She knew she wouldn't be able to do both. She swore under her breath, she would have to drop the metal if she wanted to strike with the metal frame. She knew she would be able to kill them if she had to control both source of metal. At the same though she would be left totally unguarded in the time it took her to wield the metal structure. She knew it was her only hope.
If they tried to run they wouldn't be able to get far enough. She would crush them with her power. If they tried to attack her she hoped she would be able to have enough time to stop them from harming her. Claire bit her lip as she let her influence drop on the liquid metal and focus on the metal structure. The liquid metal that had been circling the four humans dropped to the ground and instantly started to solidify as soon as it hit the group with harsh clanging sounds. Claire prayed she was strong enough.

She was pretty sure her back was about to bump into someone anytime soon but she couldn't be sure since she was too mesmerized by the constantly shifting liquid blobs of metal. There was no way she had heard the gentlemen right. He could not try and blow them away. She was pretty sure she was starting to go crazy since her life recently had been turned upside down.
Katie pulled away her vision from the shifting liquid to glance behind her at the boy who had suggesting blowing them away. She flipped her hair out of her face causing her purple hair to cascade down her back and over her opposite shoulder. she gave him a puzzled look, she honestly shouldn't be surprised anymore. She couldn't help but feel like she should know him- that she did know him but she knew she had never seen his face before. He felt familiar somehow but she couldn't really place her finger on why he was so familiar. She shook the idea from her head, she had to focus or they would die.
It was in that moment that the liquid metal dropped to the ground in a metallic clatter. Katie snapped her head around to examine what had just happened. Seeing the metal slowly solidify on the ground seemed odd but once she glanced up at the girl in the distance she knew they were in trouble. The metal structure trembled as the girl was gazing at it. She didn't know how to put it except they were fucked. Katie tried to speak without letting her voice falter, "I think now would be a good time to go for whatever the hell we are going to do." she said to no one in particular.
Katie didn't hesitate as she ran towards the girl not really having a clue what she was doing. She knew they had a fighting chance against this thing but she couldn't describe why. She knew Joze could heal people, she was far from useless, She could see things she really shouldn't and that man over there could blow things away. There of course was the dirty perverted man but she decided it was best to ignore him and see if he magically learned how to fly or something. She ran as fast as she could feeling her lungs burning trying to get more oxygen. What the hell was she doing. She felt a little like braveheart but she was just a wee bit less fit. ;)

[atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 475px; height: 707px; background: transparent, btable][atrb=style, background: url(http://i54.tinypic.com/2przh9u.jpg) top no-repeat ; width: 125px;] | This guy is possibly the biggest idiot I have ever had the misfortune to meet, Nate thought. Not only had the mental patient invade his personal bubble again, he had also tried asking him for a kiss. The fact that the insane person thought that he was his brother only made Nate feels more awkward. Because honestly, who asks their brother for a kiss right before they are about to die? Then he started laughing at Nate’s proposal of blowing the metal objects away. His idea, while illogical, was clearly better than doing nothing. Worse of all, he looked to be completely calm during this situation. There was a good chance that they were going to die and here the moron was completely relaxed. Did this person not know fear or shame?!
Nate glared at him as he laughed hysterically. ”Get off me! For the last time I am not your brother. Also, this situation is serious! There is the possibility that we will all die so if you have a better idea then please, by all means, share.
Now that he was done addressing the taller man, he turned to look at the other two to see if they gave any indication of agreement to his plan. The blonde haired girl seemed preoccupied with something that she had pulled out of her pocket and the purple haired girl… Nate froze. He could see the dark haired girl’s face much more clearly now and something about her felt very familiar to him. Memories of his days as an air general resurfaced. The images were blurry but he realized that he was fighting. But who was he fighting? Did he fight against this girl in a past life or did she fight with him? Nate felt as if there was something very important that he was forgetting and he desperately wanted to find out. But at that moment, it seemed that he would never know whether she is friend or foe. They needed to survive if he wanted to find out.
Suddenly, the metal that was surrounding them dropped to the ground. Well I don’t need to unleash the wind again, but what is going on? Should we run? Could we run? Nate’s instincts told him to flee while he had the chance. Nate took a step back and prepared to run. He watched the enemy to make sure that she would not manipulate the metal surrounding him the moment he fled. The photographer was sure that no one wanted to stay in this situation which made it all the more stunning when he saw one of the girls run towards the enemy.
”No! What are you doing?” It was the purple haired girl. Was she insane? There was no way that they were going to be able to defeat this enemy and yet she still charged head on at the creature, human, whatever it was.
Nate looked to the enemy and saw that the metal wielding girl had her hand out again and looked as if she was preparing for another attack. The purple haired one probably wouldn’t survive if she was hit dead on. Nate needed that girl to survive; he needed information as to why he recognized her. There was no doubt that she too was from one of the kingdoms that he saw in his memories and perhaps she could shed some light as to what was going on. He needed to help her, but how?
Looking around him, there was nothing he could do. Charging head on as the girl had done was completely impractical and unleashing the wind was counterproductive at the moment. And besides, his wind could only be let loose or stifled. It would be of no use if he could not control the damned gust. He was truly useless at this moment. Nate felt angry and helpless. If only I had more power, then maybe I could actually defend myself for once. ________________________
