Two years after he'd intended to attend college, he's low on funds and without a single published novel. His days are spent making sandwiches for hungry customers; his nights are devoted to editing and revising papers for his friends in college for a little extra cash. ○ Living Situation He lives alone in a small studio apartment located in the West End. Although the building itself seems rather run down, he's worked hard to make his room a nice place to live. He sleeps on a futon, which remains as a couch until his bedtime; every day, he meticulously folds and unfolds it, despite the fact he almost never invites company over. His three-year-old laptop has its own shrine on his coffee table, surrounded by paper towers of freelance work and manuscripts. His kitchen area is small, but it contains a working microwave, toaster, and refrigerator, which is really all that he needs. All in all, Nieve's apartment is quite clean. Even so, any guest that walks through his door will immediately see there's one aspect of his home that's become rather out of control. In every corner is a pile of books. Books can be found on the counter, next to his microwave; books can be found beside, under, and on the futon; books have taken up residence upon his coffee table as well as beneath it. His great love is reading, and even though his apartment really doesn't have the room for the amount of novels that he reads, he still continues to buy them whenever he has enough money to splurge. ○ Appearance When one glances at Nieve for the first time – or at any time, really – his most prominent features are his eyes. Their irises are bright, polished silver in color, framing relatively small pupils; they reveal someone who has the potential to become nearly feral in a heartbeat. His face is rather attractive, neither rugged nor babyish, and he tends to wear an intriguing little smirk on his lips. His hair is black, with undertones that seem nearly blue in the correct lighting, and shoulder-length, usually worn clipped into a small, messy bun. This style can be blamed on two things in particular – Nieve hates the feeling of hair touching the back of his neck, or really anywhere on his neck, to be precise; he also hasn’t had it cut in a long, long while, leaving it uneven and kind of shaggy. Rather than seeking out a haircut, which he deems as a waste of his book money, he just saves himself the effort of worrying about it and pins it up. His shoulders are broad and strong. His arms, though not wildly muscular, have a wiry strength to them that he’s gained from push-ups in his apartment and the occasional visit to the gym. His torso has a muscular sort of slenderness, and his abs are well defined from a daily set of crunches, done on his futon every morning before he folds it back into a couch. He’s quick on his feet and a strong runner. It’s safe to call Nieve athletic, even though he’d deny being a sporty sort of person; instead, he really just likes to stay in shape, and doing simple workouts helps his thought process while he’s brainstorming his next novel. When it comes to his choices in clothing, he really doesn’t spare much thought toward style. He prefers comfortable and casual; he can usually be seen in a pair of jeans with torn knees – he wears shorts very rarely, if at all – and a plain, dark tee. He does, however, tend to lean toward outfits with belts (an all-purpose accessory in his opinion) and his black jacket, which could probably be deemed as his favorite article of clothing. When it the weather’s cooler, he wears scarves and boots, but doesn’t dramatically change his way of dressing to compliment the seasons.   PART 02 SPECIFICS ○ Possible Affinities Spirit, earth, or air. ○ Personality This is very important so please include at least 2-3 paragraphs as this decides a lot about your character as well as cannons they might Awaken to become. ○ History This is very important as your history makes your character the way they are.
