It certainly wasn't his hunger, although he had to admit he was famished. He might as well stop by the bakery and get something to eat, maybe a pastry or two. Besides, it wasn't as though he were in a hurry to get from point a to point b. Hell, he really wasn't sure where point a was, never mind point b. Pretty much the only thing he knew was that he was in Little Italy, and he was hungry beyond belief. Oh, and it was the weekend and he was bored out of his mind. And he really didn't want to be in the same room as his snoring room mate. Although he had cleaned up his act recently, Christian still wondered how the older student had managed to secure a position at Columbia University, but he might as well not question it. He was sure he wouldn't want to know anyways. He walked into the nearest bakery and ordered a pastry. Might as well sate his hunger for the time being.
"Christian? What are you doing here?" Good question. However, as he was surprised on how familiar the voice was. What was he doing here, more like it. The last time Christian saw him, he was asleep and showed no signs of waking up. After all, it was still fairly early, on terms of the weekend. Which begged the question - why the hell was he up early in the first place? "It's nice to see you too, Anthony. I could say the same to you - why are you up?" He was never an early riser - even when classes were in session. Besides - he hadn't taken off to Little Italy that long ago - so how in the world did he get here too? What a chance encounter - and such an unlikely one at that.
"I woke up earlier than usual. You weren't there, I was hungry, the 'fridge wasn't stocked. I forget, was it your turn or mine to shop?" This was expected from him... and Christian fought the urge to roll his eyes. To be honest, he always forgot the important things - the really unimportant details he always remembered.
"It's your turn. So you're responsible for our lack of food." Christian thanks the lady at the counter for the food, and started to walk out of the story, Anthony right at his heels. "I'm sorry about that... Do you happen to have any money on you? I'll pay you back later." Sighing, Christian dug out his wallet and took out two twenties. "This should fill the fridge - as long as you don't spend it on gum and chocolate like last time. Honestly, watch what you eat sometimes." He bit into his pastry, contemplating on events. He didn't know why he didn't just pay for the food himself - half the time Anthony was asking him for food money. SORRY. I'M REALLY BAD WITH INTROS. [/style] |

As usual, Sunshine had woken up to go around the city and talk a walk, maybe stopping here and there. It was warm outside, and the sun was shining brightly in her face. There was a soft, chill breeze blowing through her lime-green hair... A word to describe the day, perhaps? Perfect. Lovely. Beautiful. She sighed, brushing her hair to the side of her head. The scent of delicious, baked pastries and deserts filled her. She was hungry. She let out another sigh, continuing to walk before the most wonderful aroma lingered in the air. There in front of her was a bakery. Yes, that was where the scent was coming from. She wondered whether she should enter already or come back later... It was probably crowded, even if it was early in the morning. Sunshine knew some people liked to go there in the morning... she remembered her brother and herself going there, too, together. The green-haired girl pressed her ear to the window, her eyes closed. She listen, hearing blurbs of conversation. Only one voice, however, stuck out. She recognized it from somewhere... Where? Wait... That voice... she thought. It was definitely Christian. She opened her eyes to see his blue hair. Yes. It's him. Anthony and him practically strolled pass her, not even noticing her when she was standing close by. Ha, I guess boys are stupid and senseless and blind. she smirked lightly at the thought.
"Hmph." she muttered, under her breath, folding her arms. Following them close behind, her footsteps like as she silently tip-toed behind them. She put both of her hands on her shoulders, "Well, hello, you two!" she said, rather loudly -- or at least loud enough to attract the attention of two civilians passing by. She snaked her way to the front of both of them, so they could see who she was. "You really didn't notice me standing there? In front of you?" Sunshine raised an eyebrow. She had a playful smile on her face. "So? What are you two up to?" she had remembered hearing the two arguing about something... What was it again? Money? Food? Something of that sort... Maybe both. She remembered what Christian had told her about Anthony: a loser guy who parties a lot and always gets wasted. They had talked to each other a few times, but it was enough for them to be considered as 'friends' already. She looked over him, then Anthony. This was the first time she had really seen him in person. Well, met him. Sometimes, she saw Anthony around the city, but never really wanted to bothered to say, 'hello'. "I didn't surprise you both, did I?" she asked, licking her lips. "I apologize, in that case."
Sunshine's attention almost turned completely to Anthony, who she was yet to meet. "Hmm..." she looked over him slowly. "So, I'm guessing that you're Anthony? Christian's room mate?" she stuck out her hand, offering a shake. "I'm Sunshine." she stood on her heels. "Nice to meet you." [/style]

The indescribable feeling as the abrasive rays of light seemed to penetrate what she could only assume was her skin. The heat that radiated from a single strand of the sun seemed to intensify causing Clotho to blink back the tears that threatened to pool over her eyes. The heat was not caused by the sun, it was some other force that she could not identify. She paused momentarily to try and pin point what was causing her such pain. The mere fact she was experiencing emotion seemed to phase her, the fact she had a breathing body... she couldn't describe it as there were too many emotions trying to express themselves at once. She could sense some form of disappointment and possibly confusion but she didn't really know as she had never really sensed these emotions before. Clotho brought a hand upward to the light, her body listening to her every whim as it arced towards the sky.
A smile spread across her lips, the light refracting off her pale skin effortlessly. She had miscalculated, the light was no harming her but somehow making her body tingle. She brought her hand down to her side, her eyes still scanning the skies. She had no real idea what she had gotten herself into but she knew she didn't favor her current situation. She curled her top lip slightly in a feral hiss. She could sense something but she wasn't quite sure what it was. She cold hear the sound of thousands of beating hearts continuing on normally but she could almost taste some other presence. She didn't know how the urge to express her anger and frustration surface but she felt it. She wanted to do something that would convey her anger, there was no mortal around to see her do it which made her almost ponder why the urge was there. It didn't matter, she was not sent to earth to simply throw a temper tantrum. She already needed to prove herself to her siblings, they had accused her of making a mistake which was next to impossible. She did not to go around proving to their prying eyes that she was clearly the youngest and most likely to have misjudged her mortals. She would not be proven wrong.
She was Clotho, she would not be responsible for her sisters wrongdoings.
She paused as she closed her eyes, her new body was weird to her, such a meek shell seemed to cripple her power. She could sense the pounding of the hearts around her. She could identify every single soul they belonged to, she could easily recall their sad excuse of an existence but decided to push her will onward. She could not sense this external force but she could physically feel it. She slowly opened her eyes taking in her surroundings. She couldn't identify what she was looking at exactly but she could tell it was not living, possibly what they used to shelter themselves from mother earth's wrath. Clotho pivoted slightly, her new legs seeming to barely support her small figure. The urge to express her displease was imminent but she refused to let her siblings win. If she was being punished she would be punished her way.
Clotho took a deep inhale liking how the crisp air seemed to flow through her body in small gusts of wind. Her smile was no longer elegantly displayed across her delicate features that made up her face. She brought her hand up to caress the golden locks that fell down beside her. Hair. She was told about it but had never really had any to experience herself. It seemed to refract the light at such an angle that gave her soft hair a gleam that made her tilt her head slightly to get a better look. She knew she hated her new body, she was pretty sure it was making her hate all bodies like her own but she just bit her lip slightly to help her concentrate. She knew she was having complete sensory overload but she had to fight through it. She exhaled slowly not realizing she had been holding her breath. She let her silvery wings quiver ever so slightly in anticipation as she sunk into the shadows of the alley way. It seemed like a good place to lure the creature.
Clotho blinked a couple times before fully closing her eyes and started to exert her will on the mortals. Her presence would not be known to the creature but she needed a presence that it would recognize. She could sense the two hearts in a matter of seconds, they were actually quite close, she could hear their weak lungs expand ever so slowly giving them life with every intake of air. It wouldn't take much of her will to get them to the alleyway. A soft breeze seemed to roll by Clotho, she could almost taste her own power as it surged through the streets of people in little italy. It quickly found the two morals it had been told to seek out. The sweet air seemed to push the two mortals towards the alleyway like any normal breeze might. The breeze continued persistently, Clotho must greet her own creations in person before they were attacked and possibly destroyed. Is there anything specific you wanted me to buy? Like... food-wise?" Christian looked up at Anthony, taking another bite of his food. "To be honest, not really. Buy whatever. But buy food - not junk." He was surprised to hear those words come out of his mouth - out of the two of them, Anthony was the cook. Although he didn't really cook, mainly the two boys took whatever they could out of the refrigerator when they got hungry. Christian's meals consisted of packaged ramen, and Anthony's consisted of packaged sweets. How was it that neither of them had grown fat due to having this diet for the grand total of two years? Honestly, he didn't know. It was surprising really, with how much sweets Anthony consumed how he wasn't sick, and with day after day of ramen, Christian still hadn't grown sick of the flavor and taste.
"Well, hello, you two!" Christian was surprised - but he knew that voice. He definitely knew that voice. Turning his head to the direction of the voice, he quickly identified the green-haired beauty girl. "You really didn't notice me standing there? In front of you?" No, he honestly didn't. It wasn't as though he kept a lookout for her every time he went out, but he supposed that now he should, seeing as how she had reacted. "Nope. Sorry about that, but you don't really stand out in the crowd." Who was he kidding?! She had green hair - of course she stood out of the crowd. Although he supposed that she could just be passed off as one of the many people in New York who dyed their hair, just like he himself. Though is still drew in looks, it seemed like Christian didn't pay attention to hair color anymore (even if her's was incredibly distinct and noticeable).
"So, what are you two up to?"
"Nothing really. We were discussing... groceries..." Well, he couldn't very well lie to her, could he? It wouldn't be the most polite thing to do, even if discussing groceries was pathetic as hell. Anthony seemed to be assessing the girl, jumping from her hair, her eyes, her chest, legs, and everything of that nature. Perv. He couldn't help but hide a smile, nonetheless. She was pretty, to say the least. "It was no surprise, to be honest."
But she had already turned her attention to Anthony, who was surprisingly well put together at the moment. How he managed to do it, Christian remained oblivious. "It's very nice to meet you too, Sunshine. But I'm afraid I've got to go buy the groceries, so to speak." That bastard. What was he trying to accomplish by leaving? But having no real reason to stop him, he let the older student leave. Did he have no shame? Honestly - to leave when a person first introduces themselves to him? "You'll have to excuse him... Sorry about that." He started walking, as a breeze came along and swept towards the direction he was heading.
"You coming?" I'M NOT THAT GOOD. IT'S JUST BASIC CODING. AND STEERING TONY AWAY FROM DANGER. [/style] |

Sorry about that, but you don't really stand out in the crowd." That was a first -- most people say that her green hair sticks out quite a lot, though she had assumed Christian had gotten used to it by now. Besides, he had blue hair, so it wasn't as if it was strange to see someone who had oddly-colored hair if you had oddly-colored hair yourself. "Nothing really. We were discussing... groceries..." she wanted to laugh at the pathetic topic, really, but held it back. It was rude, anyways, and she didn't want to be rude... Well, at least now that she had the privilege of calling Christian her, 'friend'. They hadn't known each other for long, but it was long enough for Sunshine. She didn't make friends easily, after all, and she usually dumped off friends after a day or two... But Christian was interesting, so she didn't throw him away like she would have usually done. "That's a very interesting topic to discuss." she teased, with a light, playful smile on her face. "It was no surprise, to be honest." Sunshine wondered if he had gotten used to her doing things such as this... "Aww. You're no fun, Christian, you know that?" she licked her lips. "Well, I guess you're just used to me doing these kinds of things, anyways." Sunshine shrugged. "I should probably think of something else to surprise you instead of just sneaking up on you..." he cocked her head to the side and thought for a moment, before her attention turned completely to Anthony. She looked over him again. "It's very nice to meet you too, Sunshine. But I'm afraid I've got to go buy the groceries, so to speak." Sunshine nodded, twirling a strand of her hair around her finger. "Alright. I guess I'll see you around, then." she waved flirtatiously and then rolled her eyes when he left, looking back at Christian.
"You'll have to excuse him... Sorry about that." Sunshine shook her head. "I didn't want him to stay, anyways." she told him. "Thank goodness that he did." Sunshine smirked. "You coming?" Christian asked, starting to walk. She stared into space for a moment before nodded, "Yup, of course." Sunshine skipped towards Christian until the two were side-to-side. She was quiet for a few moments, wondering what she should say as she continued walking. Finally, she just looked at Christian -- "Where are we going?" It was only then when Sunshine realized that she had no idea where this path was going and where they were going to end up. Did Christian even know? She took a look around. We're still in Little Italy. she thought. Of course, they hadn't walked far, and were practically still surrounded by the same things. However, she wanted to know where he was intending to go. "...or are we just walking around?" that would be a rational explanation. She was going to take a walk around, anyways, so she really didn't care where they would be going. The wind blew her hair slightly when she stopped walking, to look back at Christian. After a moment or two, she shrugged.
"I guess it doesn't matter, anyway." she licked her lips and shrugged. [/style]

"Did you really want to be alone with me that much? Well, I can't say that I'm not honored, Sunshine." To be honest - the green haired girl was being rather playful today to his surprise. Although he couldn't say that he wasn't pleased that this - they had reached common enough ground to be friends. With an occasional compliment here or there, as a bonus. They would probably never be anything more than friends, and Christian was totally fine with that - he had his whole career in his mind, and looking for anything other than a friend wouldn't be the very best option. It would only be distraction upon distraction - not to mention the worry of trying to please such a person. He had big dreams and big accomplishments to complete. There was no way he would do something silly like having a girlfriend.
"Where are we going?"
"Now that.... that is a very good question. I guess we're just walking about." The nice breeze seemed to invite them to that general direction, and it wasn't like they were really paying attention to their surroundings, anyways. Hell, Christian didn't even know what he was doing in this part of New York, although he wouldn't say he hated this part of the city. It might actually be one of his favorite parts of the city, to tell the truth. It was a place full of bakeries and food and delis - and well. Food. He could never be hungry in a place like this, with its various food shops serving various foods that would make peoples' mouth salivate just thinking about it. Although, the bluenette knew better than to do such a thing in front of a person - much less someone he knew. Plus, it would be a bit gross, as he would admit the same for himself if someone did that in his presence.
"What brings you around to this place, anyways?" It was odd for him to be asking such a question anyways - since he himself wasn't all that sure why he was here, but he was curious. They had run into one another once again - although he was sure that all of these encounters had been by chance, it had been happening rather often, often enough to consider each other friends. In fact, he was already used to seeing her green strands of hair in the crowd, as today had definitely demonstrated. His pastry had been long finished, disposed in a nearby trash can, a subconscious throwing motion had landed the trash into the can.
"Looking to buy some food? Sorry if I'm keeping you." He still wasn't sure where he was going, anyways. Still, might as well stop by another food shoppe and get something for Sunshine, if she didn't already get something to eat. Which was entirely possible, due to the fact that anyone who ventured into Little Italy was for food and tourism. And Sunshine definitely wasn't a tourist. SCREW IT I SHALL POST ANYWAYS. FATE CAN BUTT IN LATER. O.O POST = SHORT. [/style] |

[atrb=valign, top][style=border-left:4px solid #ffffff; font-size:10px; line-height:13px; padding-left:8px; text-align:justify; text-transform:lowercase; padding-right:8px;]Clotho couldn't hep but blink away a tear, the light was still far too abrasive for her fragile state in her pathetic body. She didn't really have time to examine herself in detail but she could tell that she was in what most humans would describe as a damsel in distress. She cursed her sisters and their bitter ways of revenge but she refused to believe this set back would hinder her power in any way. Clotho closed her soft blue eyes once more and focused on her chosen heroes. she could still sense the lingering of some kind of dark force but could not exactly pinpoint it's location. It would be interesting to see how her chosen would treat the coming situation. Clotho actually smiled picturing the two humans ripping apart some evil unknown force.
Clotho brough a hand up to her temples which seemed to throb slightly from using her inner sight. She knew it was due to her weakened state of body but she wouldn't let her shell justify her powers. She knew she was strong and untouchable but she would not allow some mortal feelings such as pain affect her. She could sense the two mortals continuing to walk towards her location in the alley. They were still surrounded by to many people for Clotho to approach them, so Clotho just let her wings quiver slightly and continue to lure them to her with the sweet hued wind. She frowned slightly, a lone bead of sweat trickling down her forehead from the amount of effort she was emitting. She knew something was wrong since she could still feel the dark presence but what had her concerned was why she didn't recognize it. She was the creator, there should be no living thing that she shouldn't know about. Usually she would leave mankind to deal with it's own problems but this force was something alien to her. A very dangerous threat no matter what it was, the fact she was left in the dark had her feeling what she could only describe as what humans say is concern.
Clotho grimaced as she continued to watch her chosen heroes, they would aid her weakened form as well as draw this unwelcome presence into the open to be vanquished. They seemed to know each other somehow but Clotho didn't care how the warriors knew of each other. They were warriors, they should be running to the first taste of danger to save not only the innocent but bring their kingdom to life once more. She still remembered giving her blessing upon the mere mortals. They had impressed her as well as her sister so much they had given them gifts. She was almost positive these gifts were the first action of error, they were suppose to be blessings but mankind had turned them into curses. Clotho stopped rubbing her temples to walk towards a hanging clothes line. She knew humans had interesting customs and it would only be appropriate for her to conform to them. She could see many many lines of string or wire that contained hanging clothes, it seemed to sway gently in her own breezes. She knew she could probably attempt to present herself in her godliest form but she doubted her current body could maintain that much power for more than a minute.
Clotho cocked her head to the side as she pulled down a simple white dress. She couldn't help but be drawn to the pure color, it was usually how she represented herself naturally so it took a subconscious choice in her selection of clothing. She usually wore a more elegant white dress but she had limited resources to work with. She slipped on the white dress, it seemed to be a slip of sorts, rather plain with two white straps allowing her wings to poke through the back of the dress. She still felt the sun was attacking her but was starting to adapt like she was suppose to. Her body was in working conditions, the fact it still had bodily functions while merged with a goddess was proof that the bond was permanent. The dress which seemed to hug her slim form stopped above her knees, mid thigh allowing her pale skin to be on display. It wasn't her first choice but it would have to do. She would be meeting the warriors soon and then she would have no more time for formalities. Clotho stood up tall and proud allowing her body to shimmer in the light as it reflected of her angelic features. The alley was not brightly lit, she could easily see what humans called a street peeking out past the alleyway.
Clotho bit her lip slightly as she took a step towards the street, she could barely make out the shapes of humans that continued to walk by completely oblivious to her godly presence. the light was truly blinding from the unprotected sunlight. She would be confined to the alleyway until her body continued to adapt to it's hostile conditions. She took a couple steps backward until her back was against one of the walls. Her hair fell around her in interesting patterns but Clotho took no interest in her appearance anymore. Her warriors were close and she knew it, they would be in the alleyway any minute now. Any minute now hell might break loose. [/style] [STYLE=font-size:10px; padding-left: 12px; font-weight: bold]words: 909 tags: CHRISTIAN & SUNSHINE notes: Thx bubs for the clothes line idea! Well, I can't say that I'm not honored, Sunshine." Sunshine paused. "Mmm, really?" she asked, not bothering to explain to him that she didn't want to be alone with him, she just didn't want Anthony to be with them. Simple as that. Besides, he had said that he was honored, didn't he? "Now that.... that is a very good question. I guess we're just walking about. What brings you around to this place, anyways?" Sunshine looked around. "I guess I was just walking around, and ended up here." she sighed and continued walking. The wind, which had earlier been oh so soft, was now starting to make her actually rather cold. Is it just me? she thought, looking around. Everybody else seemed rather normal? She wrapped her arms around herself. I really should have brought a jacket. I didn't know it would be this cold. A minute or two ago, the wind wasn't this harsh. A shiver ran down her spine. What was this, anyway? She inched slightly closer to Christian, before looking up at him. "Is it just me, or did it suddenly become really windy?" she asked him. The day had just turned from sunny and warm to very windy. The two were approaching an alleyway.
It almost was as if fate was trying to bring them there. Was Christian also witnessing these winds? But what could possibly be waiting in the alleyway? Something horrible, perhaps? Something that would help Sunshine understand what she was meant to do, here, on earth? So many thoughts clouded her mind. Of course it's not fate. It's just the wind, Sunshine. Don't be an idiot. The wind grew stronger. It's just your imagination. Don't fall for it! she closed her eyes and cringed, expecting everything to be back to normal, like in movies. Somebody would ask her, "Are you okay?" and she would realize that she fainted and just had a strange dream. Yes, that's what would happen. Or, at least, that's what should have happened.
The girl opened her eyes to see that it was indeed, not a dream. What is happening? It was almost as if they were being sucked into the alley. She didn't bother to ask Christian if he also felt the strange wind. She could see that he as well was being pulled in the same direction. "Eeeeeeek!" she couldn't help but squeal as the wind practically pushed her to the alley. Her back hit against the brick wall. She sighed as the force came to a stop. She was panting heavily. That had just scared her a lot. Her eyes were shut for a few moments, fearing what would be in front of her.
However, when she opened her eyes, everything seemed normal. She was in an alleyway. It was...dark. Her mind wandered -- what could have possibly happened? Did somebody push her in? Was somebody trying to hurt her like before? Did they know what she was? Was it just the wind? Why didn't anybody else feel it? And... Where was Christian? Her eyes searched around. "Christian..." she whined his name. Well? What should she do? Make a run for it? When the thought popped into her mind, two answers instantly came to her: 'no' and 'yes'. She thought for a moment. The cons were that if she did run, she might be held back by somebody -- and she was afraid that somebody had pushed her into an alleyway, like before. Sunshine's brother and herself had been beaten to the point where they were coughing up blood and couldn't walk. She even remembered her helpless voice, calling out for somebody to possibly be kind enough to bring them home. She had only been thirteen at that time. "Christian..." she called his name again. "Where are you?" Sunshine's voice was lost.

He was never exactly one to wander about aimlessly, so why exactly start now? Granted, it might have been stemmed from the fact he didn't exactly know why he was at this place at that time, and even that was unusual for him, in the long run. It relieved him when she had responded to his question that she was also here due to wandering around. Besides, that meant he wasn't keeping her from anything, so it set his mind to ease, if not for a tiny amount. Well, at least they didn't have much of a set destination, except for going straight. The odd thing was, they were heading towards the housing and leaving behind most of the delis and bakeries and cute little food stores, although there were still some here or there that seemed to grab customers despite their oddly placed stores. I guess they're the locals.
"Is it just me, or did it suddenly become really windy?" Christian was a little puzzled. Now that she mentioned it, it was a little windier than before. Perhaps it was because they had moved to a sort of new location, but they couldn't have walked more than a half mile, so it shouldn't have such a drastic weather change. "You're right, it is a bit windier than I expected." Besides, it was pretty sunny earlier. It was nice out, just a while ago, when he first bumped into Sunshine. He took that back. It wasn't just a bit windier than he expected, it was a lot windier. No, in fact, it was like the weather changed instantly. What was up with that? It was definitely colder, as the wind impacted his body at faster speeds than the gentle breeze from earlier. It seemed to make him go in another direction. It was strong, and a bit hard to fight against. But he trudged on. What was wrong with the people around him and Sunshine, who carried on like nothing was wrong? It looked as though his green haired companion was experiencing this, but what of everyone else?
"Holy shi-" He didn't even get to finish his sentence as the wind pushed him harder than before into a nearby alley. What the hell is this?! Sunshine looked as though she were in the same dilemma as he was, seeing as she had let out a high pitched squeal just before. What about all those other people from just before? Did they not see this? To be honest, he had no idea what the hell was happening now, but he was going to find out sooner or later, he was sure of it.
But then it stopped. Sure, he had to impact the nearby wall by a bit (it looked like Sunshine did too, but at the moment he couldn't see her), but as suddenly as the wind had picked up and forced the two of them into the alley, it stopped. Now he was stuck in the dark, knocked down and just a little bruised from the wall. It hurt. Like hell. What the hell was with this turn of events. And why had he landed in here? And how did the other people not notice that? His back had hit the wall, and as he opened his eyes (he wasn't actually aware he had closed them) he could just see people pass by, not even looking at their direction. Sure, the wind had blown the two far into the alley, but still, they must have noticed two people who were just walking get swept in here. Right? He couldn't possible imagine that they didn't.
"Christian..." Sunshine. "Where are you?" Where was she? He squinted in the not so lit up alleyway, and didn't find here.
"I'm here! Sunshine, where are you?" He was concerned. But he was worried. More and more, it didn't seem like this was an accident. The wind - the fact that no one noticed them. Did it not seem weird at all? What the hell was happening?! o.o SORRY FOR THE REITERATION [/style] |

[atrb=valign, top][style=border-left:4px solid #ffffff; font-size:10px; line-height:13px; padding-left:8px; text-align:justify; text-transform:lowercase; padding-right:8px;]Clotho leaned against the cool brick wall as she observed her warriors. Something was wrong, they did not act like the warriors she made them. They had clearly not sensed her presence yet as she could clearly read the confusion off of their faces. She smiled as she was proud of her ability to adapt, she was earning how to read emotions. She could easily pick up confusion, Clotho could have sworn she could sensed fear as well but couldn't be sure since she had not sensed it herself. They appeared just how she had made them many years ago. She hadn't picked their names for them as she had stopped doing so many eons ago, now regretting she had picked more suitable names for her warriors of justice.
Something was wrong, neither of them reacted how they should have. They seemed dazed to say the least, they did not spring into action like a warrior was suppose to. Clotho cocked her head to the side as she tried to reexamine the situation, there was something off about her warriors. Clotho squinted her eyes as she tried to pinpoint the problem, this was not part of her plan. The darkness would be upon them at any moment and they would be left to die, she couldn't die quite yet. Clotho took a bold step forward away from the dark shadows clinging to the alleyway. She didn't wait to introduce herself, human customs lost on her for the most part. The fact she was clothed was a big step. The light seemed too bright for her but she could tell the lighting was too dark for the mortals, they seemed to squint in the dull shadows, their pupils dilating in an effort to make out shapes in the shadows.
"There is something wrong." Her voice breaking her vow of silence so far. They were not warriors, they had not been trained but that was to be expected. What she didn't understand was why their natural instincts hadn't taken over, their past lives should have recognized her by now. Her voice held the power she contained within her, not the voice of her meek form. The creature would be upon them at any given moment, her saviors had turned out to be nothing more than false lies. She couldn't pin point why they remained like so many normal mortals whens he had blessed them herself. She took a broad step towards the closest mortal, her green hair a reminder of her creation. Clotho gave her a warm smile, she was unsure of her given name as she had stopped assigning them many eons ago, it didn't matter. She had made this woman, from the second she was conceived Clotho had started working on the woman. She had manipulated the girls fate to be blessed with the past but yet she knew nothing. The warrior that Clotho had implanted had remained dormant.
She could sense the coming danger, sensing the two extra ordinary life forces it would try and eliminate them while they were weak like any normal hunter. She would not become prey. Clotho examined the woman once more, she had to be sure she was ready since she had not awaken herself. She reached out a pale hand towards the girl, her blonde hair starting to lift ever so slowly from her body as energy started to ripple through the air. She knew this was incredibly dangerous but being unprotected would leave them in graver danger. She reached ever so slowly towards the girl being sure not to touch her quite yet. She could clearly read her fate, her sisters have not been kind to her own creation.
Clotho's voice could be heard but her lips did not move. She would have to trust her warriors to protect her as they were suppose to protect the innocent. She was aware of the man's presence but the was too far from her. They had only minutes if that to realize their potential. "I know fate has not been kind to you young one, this is your only opportunity to hold fate in your own hands." Clotho turned her hand so her palm faced skyward, a sign of not only respect but an offer. Clotho knew this would leave her powerless but it had to be done, her sisters had abused the girls state of weakness. Clotho no longer held back her emotion, she might have been mad for her manipulative sisters but she could not help but feel somethings she couldn't describe. She blinked her blue eyes as tears rolled down her face, Clotho could recall every moment in which fate intervened in this girls life without her knowing. It wasn't the twisted moments that caught her off guard but how truly beautiful Clotho had made her. The energy in the alley was almost too strong for even Clotho, she was having trouble maintaining her offer. She gave the girl a small smile before whispering ever so slightly. "sunshine."

Sunshine, where are you?" she didn't have a response. Honestly, she didn't know where she was herself. Nor was she aware of the force that had been able to pull them both into an alley. She had no clue why Christian and her. And why did it seem like nobody else felt the winds? She refused to act like a little child and whine and complain and cry. Maybe it was just the wind, really. She saw no reason to be acting like this. However, her back was slightly aching. She had been thrown against the brick wall. It hurt. She searched the alleyway for Christian... Surely he wasn't too far away. She had heard his voice close by... She knew that she should run out of the alley, but... What about Christian? She couldn't leave him here! Sighing lightly, she leaned against the wall, her eyes still searching. It was rather dark inside. There was a chilling breeze. An eerie silence filled the space. Sunshine sensed something. Footsteps, maybe? She did have quite sensitive hearing. No, it's just your imagination. The wind pushed us in. Just the wind. Nobody could have possibly been that fast. It was the wind, Sunshine, don't fret about something this idiotic. Although the wind seemed like the most rational explanation, she still questioned the response. If it was the wind, why had they only been affected by it? Many people had been surrounding them. How could only they be pulled in?
"There is something wrong." the voice broke the silence. Sunshine cringed. Was it really the wind? she suddenly thought, many questions entering her mind. Maybe the footsteps she had heard weren't really a figment of her imagination... Yes, she saw feet! They seemed to be taking a step towards her. She closed her eyes, shutting them tightly, not wanting to open them. Her arms were wrapped around herself, and she was panting heavily, as if she had been running for hours. She didn't bother calling out Christian's name again... Maybe if she stayed silent, the woman in front of her wouldn't notice her. But it was too late. She seemed to be approaching Sunshine. For a moment, she thought she had recognized the girl. She definitely had never seen her before. However, it was still like a part of her was attached to this... beautiful woman. Sunshine questioned what it could possibly be that made her feel attached, when they had never met. She was afraid.
"I know fate has not been kind to you young one, this is your only opportunity to hold fate in your own hands." Clotho turned her hand to the sky. What did this mean? Her lips weren't even moving... It was strange. Maybe it's just a voice in my head. But... the woman... her eyes were opened now. "Sunshine." the voice called her name. Sunshine cringed, putting her hands over her ears, trying to get herself to calm down, but she just couldn't. "H-h-how..." her voice was soft, a whisper. She was afraid. Her heart was pounding against her chest. She wondered if she was going insane -- but she couldn't possibly be, right? Christian seemed to had witnessed the wind as well. It wasn't just her. "How... do you know my name?" she hesitated. It was almost as if she was afraid to hear the answer. Did she know her? Sunshine finally looked up at her. She was trembling with each move. She was beautiful. With long, golden locks and blue eyes. Sunshine's eyes widened... Did she have wings? Sunshine looked away. The woman seemed as if her intentions were not to evoke damage on Sunshine nor Christian. However, there was still something strange going on... The woman was winged. She was beautiful, too. There was no denying that. Shuddering, Sunshine looked up. Her expression was of innocence and dread.
"W-w-what... do you want from me?" to her surprise, she did not look away from the lovely woman. What are you? Who are you? she wanted to ask. Then, Sunshine realized. If this woman, this winged woman knew her name and everything... Could it possibly be that she had been summoned here? "D-d-did you bring me here....? Why do you want me here?" The exit! It was only a minimum of footsteps away... However, when she thought about it, Sunshine realized that she would be risking leaving Christian behind. But what else should she do? The scariest thing was that... The woman: Sunshine could have sworn that she looked familiar. Half of her wanted to run and leave with Christian... The other half...
Actually wanted to stay. It was a very strange feeling indeed. [/style]

[atrb=valign, top][style=border-left:4px solid #ffffff; font-size:10px; line-height:13px; padding-left:8px; text-align:justify; text-transform:lowercase; padding-right:8px;] Clotho gave the girl a small smile; her questions had fallen on deaf ears. The girl had recognized her, the fact she was still in the alleyway had confirmed her request. The girl would awaken to her former glory. Clotho didn't know why she had not started to awaken naturally; she couldn't help but think back to the dark presence. It was hindering her somehow, or trying to anyway. Clotho gazed into the girls eyes before blinking back her tears, this girl would never be the same.
A ripple of energy coursed through Clotho's small form making her close her eyes as she felt the pain of overexertion. She was actually glad for the pain, it kept her concentrated on Sunshine. The wind picked up around them, lifting Clotho a couple inches off the ground, the wind spiraling around the two of them arcing in beautiful spirals of silver wind. Clotho kept her palm skyward; it was an offering to say the least. The wind continued to intensify with her power, the wind had consumed the whole alleyway, people walking by without a second glance. She could feel the energies of Sunshine starting to burst with life. She could also sense the man standing somewhere behind her. His awakening has already started before started to intervene, she was only speeding up the process. It was tragic that he didn't get the option to live his life the way normal mortals could.
The silver tendrils of the wind started to attach themselves to both of the mortals. Clotho continued to focus, now having to expand her focus to the both of them as she was affecting him as well. She could sense something was off about him as soon as she reached out into his mind. He had been tampered with, she couldn't describe how but she could tell. He was not how she had made him so few years ago. Someone or something had manipulated fate without her sisters knowing.
Clotho instantly broke her focus; she was too busy probing the man's mind. She could still sense the dark presence as well as the actions going on around her but she needed to resolve this now, he could contain the answers she needed.
The silver winds embraced both bodies even after Clotho had released her influence over them. Clotho was released to the ground, her bare feet gently placed on the cold ground. Her body could not support her as she collapsed from fatigue, her fate rested with her warriors, even if one of them was tainted. Her magics continued to work even after her body had shut down needing to rejuvenate itself. Clotho could still slightly sense what was happening around her energy was needed to regain herself, not to watch the events that would unfold around her.
The wind quickly surround the two forms in the alleyway, Sunshine's cocoon shining brightly and whirring faster and faster as Christian's was only a couple hairs slower, still gaining speed. As if triggered by an impulse the silver threads surrounding Sunshine burst open leaving her standing surrounded by the silver threads. They now rotated rather slowly around her displaying small scenes of a woman she did not know. The woman was brave, fierce, unafraid of anything, controlling fire as if she was fire itself. This woman that sunshine was being shown was herself in a past life. The silver threads disappeared all at once as if they had never appeared at all. The only signal that anything had ever happened was the red rune now engraved in her right forearm. The rune appeared harsh but pulsated ever so slightly in a red glow. Sunshine could clearly sense a change within her; the fire apprentice had once again rejoined the fight.
The winds continued to whirr around Christian, still gaining speeds, like Sunshine they burst around him in an impulse. The threads moved ever so slowly around him but ever thread was as reflective as a mirror displaying nothing but different fragments of Christian appearance. They disappeared shortly after leaving him with a translucent rune on his collarbone. The white flesh seeming to glow slightly, the color seeming to be an off white milky color mixed with a grey. A new race had just been born.

Although he had showed concern for Sunshine, perhaps he should have focused just a bit more on how much his head hurt from the impact. At first he had thought his back had impacted the wall, but no, it was definitely his head. It was whirling and he suddenly wished he had not gone to Little Italy. He clutched his head in pain, feeling around for a bump that he was sure was there. Great... just what I need. For a second the confusion stopped in his head as he had more pressing matters to deal with - the pain. Then he would look for Sunshine. The thing was, he had actually harbored care for the girl, as a friend. Despite the fact the both of them did not exactly meet each other until very recently. It was really rare, to be honest, that he would feel care for someone in such a short amount of time, but there was always a first for these sort of things, he assumed. Besides, it wasn’t like he hated her and wished her death.
Once his head had stopped spinning, he started to stand up a little. Sure, it still hurt, but most of the pain had left him. And as a result, the searing pain didn't distract his mind anymore from wandering. The questions still plagued him - why was he even here? The alleyway certainly wouldn't have been a place of destination that he would have chosen, and from what he knew of Sunshine, it wasn't hers either. So it had to be some mysterious outside force. One that didn't attract other's people's attention at the very least. Was it a person? No... He remembered very distinctly that it was definitely a roaring wind that had swept the two into the alley. From that it looked like it didn't seem as though anyone had noticed. Which was a bit odd, seeing as two people had just been swept in out of the blue. It was either these people were blind or just incredibly ignorant.
And now that he had his head screwed back on, he could focus a little bit on what was happening in reality, and not his mind. Not too far off, he could see two silhouettes. One he recognized as Sunshine and the other... well it was hard to see. It looked like someone with long hair. So perhaps the figure was a girl? Maybe she knew why they were suddenly swept into this place. From the looks of it, the two figures seemed to be talking. If he really concentrated, he probably could have heard them, but he didn't think that his mind would appreciate him overusing it at the moment, so he just focused on trying to stand on his own two legs. This was a little difficult, as there was darkness swimming in his vision. And his legs felt just a tab bit weak. But in due time, he hoisted himself up, using a nearby wall for support. It was a little stupid, that just because he had hit his head he couldn’t even stand up. Sure, he had hit the wall hard, but it wasn't as though he got a concussion, right? It wasn't severe if it was a concussion - at least he hadn't blacked out. That was a good thing. Just because he had hit a wall (sure, it was because of high speed winds), too. He was exhibiting signs of a concussion, but for the moment there were no emergencies symptoms that he was showing.
He blinked his eyes, trying to get a grasp on the situation as well as trying to get a better vision in the dark light. To his surprise the wind starting picking up, and he started panicking inside his mind. Not again. No more slamming into walls just after he had just picked himself up and gotten rid of most of the pain and the dots lining his vision. Even more so scary was the fact that the other figure was floating. Floating. And she had wings. Wings. No, he was definitely sick in some way, because he was hallucinating. There was no such thing as a person with wings, and there was sure as hell no person that could float - not in reality. So... he was either hallucinating or he fell unconscious and was dreaming. Christian opted for the latter, for that meant he wasn't crazy. The wind picked up even more, but it didn't seem as hostile as before. In fact, it was light enough that he was able to stand his ground, more than enough for his current state of balance. In fact... it looked as though the wind was surrounding him. He was definitely dreaming. He chanced a glance for his companion, and found her in the same situation, although the wind was making his eyes water. And even if that didn't happen, the wind looked silver and... definitely not transparent.
The winds whirled around him even faster, and now he couldn't even see anything around him. It looked as though they were getting faster and faster and Christian just couldn't stop staring. Faster and faster they went, not revealing anything, and trapping Christian inside. Sure, he could probably move and try to make a mistake, but they didn't look hostile, despite the fact that it was surrounding it. Oddly, he felt at ease. Sure, these strange events could not be classified as something he would want to experience in daily event (or really, ever), but at the same time he wasn't sure if he were terrified of it either. Then something even stranger happened. The ball of wind wrapped around him burst, startling him. But they seemed to leave threads, with each and every one observed by Christian in curiosity and... Bewilderment. Most of these just showed fragments of his appearance.
Before he could get a good grasp on what each contained, they disappeared. Leaving him confused... and different somehow. He felt different, but he couldn't tell what. And... and he felt something on his neck - no, his collarbone, That was odd. He looked down, curious as to what it was, but all he could see was a soft glow emanating from it. Odd. He had never glowed before. Maybe it would be best to conceal this from anyone, just so that he wouldn't get odd looks. He could probably pass it off for a tattoo (but he had no idea what it even looked like) if not for it's glow. Just his luck. But for the first time, he looked at his surroundings. His headache was gone (thank goodness) and he was able to stand upright again. His first thought of concern was Sunshine. And then his second thought of concern was for the other winged figure. He found that she was indeed winged, and that she was on the ground. For some reason - he felt protective over her. And he also felt that she knew some thing as to what had happened. I RAMBLED. FORGIVE ME. [/style] |

[STYLE=float: right; background: #DEDEDE; text-transform: lowercase; font-family: arial; font-size: 9px; line-height: 82%; width: 350px; text-align: justify; padding: 10px;]Sunshine couldn't understand what was happening. She felt silver winds wrap around her. The girl's eyes widened as the winds whipped against her skin. Somehow, she wasn't afraid. She had little fear in her heart of the woman with wings. She actually trusted her - why? It was a strange thought. Sunshine still could not believe what was happening - everything was just moving so quickly; it was hard to bear. What was this woman in front of her? What was Sunshine? Why her? Sunshine's remembrance of the past was vague. In spite of this, she could remember a few moments. It was all just so fast! Why now? The winds embraced her. Where was Christian? Was he witnessing this? Had fate brought them to the alley, to meet this strange, mystical woman? Sunshine cringed and closed her eyes, wrapping her arms around her body. Her body trembled. Sunshine breathed heavily. Her cocoon burst. Sunshine fell back onto the ground, still shaking. Silver threads floated down from the cocoon. A rune was engraved in her forearm. What was it? It glowed red, like fire. What am I forgetting? she questioned herself. She had definitely changed from earlier ago... But Sunshine just couldn't put her finger on what had happened. It wasn't just the rune. It had something to do with... her past? Her personality? Sunshine didn't know. She pressed her finger against the rune lightly. It had spread into a spiral, running across her arm. As she touched it, her mind flashed back to the past for a brief moments. Of course, being newly awakened, she couldn't remember everything. However, Sunshine remembered... something.
What was it? A war? Was that what was going on? she thought, pressing herself to delve deeper into her past. What was it!? She was still confused on what had happened. Why had fate chosen her and Christian? She had thought that it was all a dream... Maybe she fainted and she was dreaming right now, laying on the hospital bed. But no, it wasn't a dream. Most definitely not. This was real life. It was obvious that she wouldn't be waking up soon, at least. She stood up, her green gaze traveling from side to side as she looked for Clotho. She noticed Christian, standing by the wall. "C-christian." her voice trembled. "You're alive." she didn't know what else to say, honestly. Not after everything that has happened. She was sure that Christian had witnessed it as well. What was she, anyways? And what was Christian? Sunshine was silent for several moments. She leaned against the wall, covering her face with her hands as she thought... it was a habit of hers. She thought and thought about what had just happened. We were pulled into an alleyway. I met a winged woman... I have a strange care for her. She knows my name. She has wings. She made silver winds form a cocoon around me. She put this red thing on my arm. She did something to Christian, too. Gah! Why couldn't she think of what had happened? And what had changed?
The girl began to approach Christian. "A-are you alright?" she questioned him. Despite that the two had just met, Sunshine had developed a strong love (or care?) for him. He probably was alright... He was standing; it didn't look like he was in pain.

You're alive."
Under any other circumstances, he would have laughed and called Sunshine silly, and that of course he was alive. But Christian had to admit himself, he was surprised he hadn't passed on yet. So the only response he could really muttered was a dejected "Yeah" and started to pinch himself to see if he was actually still alive. But he stopped himself - that was silly. The mere fact that he had heard Sunshine was enough proof that he was still alive. And then there were other factors, that he was standing, he felt a light wind, and he was moving (albeit, it was only him drawing breath). And the surprising thing was that he wasn't hurting all that much anymore. His headache was long gone, the various bruises he probably had from being thrown back didn't bother him at all. He couldn't even feel them. And although the brightness from the silver strands were gone, he found that he could see a little, as his eyes adjusted to the dark. That was a good thing.
But there was also something odd going on. The area of his collarbone was still glowing white. Although he couldn't actually see it (and the design), he knew it was there. What infuriated him was the fact that his shirt didn't cover it up. But there was no use cursing himself over his bad choice in clothes. He had noticed that she was glowing too, but in a different spot, and in a different color. Red. On her right forearm. What did that mean? Did different colors mean different things? Did different places mean different things? But it was a fruitless effort to try to find out. And besides, he was still trying to grasp on what had just happened. The only thing he could think of was asking the winged woman-
"A-are you alright?" Christian broke himself from his thoughts, interrupted. He put on his best smile, but he sensed that Sunshine would know his bluff and his nervousness.
"I'm fine. What about you?" Truth be told - he was worried. Genuinely. For some odd reason. "Do you have any clue what just happened?" That was the question he was going to try to figure out now. And yes, he was sure that the woman had the answers. He walked over to her seemingly unconscious body, and found that she was. But how did she get to this state? Christian kneeled down next to her. It didn't look like she had hit anything. Maybe it was from overexertion? "Hey... lady?" He tried shaking her, but nothing. He turned to Sunshine. "Do you have any idea what happened to her?"
THIS IS SHORT. AND SPIKE IS SICK SO NO ELEMENTAL BATTLE YET. [/style] |
