Nate has successfully completed twelve years of public school and is now a student at New York University where he is majoring in Photography and Imaging. In order to finance the upkeep of attending college in New York City, he works at Blick Art Store near his school and is able to bring in a little extra income by selling his photographs. living situation. Whether it be by good luck or the power of insert diety here, he has been able to secure himself a dorm room on campus. Housing fees are expensive however and Nate realizes that he will need to find an apartment of his own sooner or later.

Nate had never been that athletic and had fallen prey to the freshman fifteen. But upon joining the Kendo team, the fat that he had gained during that time has been turned into muscle by the constant training forced upon him by his kendo instructor at the university. ○ Nate keeps his dark hair at ear length because that way it is long enough to keep his ears warm in the winter (in theory at least) yet short enough so that he does not need to do much to maintain it. He has a side fringe that tends to cover his right eye. It had bothered him at first but he eventually adapted to it since he closes his right eye when taking pictures anyways. Evidently, from looking at his left eye, his eyes are blue. ○ Nate grew up in California on the sunny west coast and was therefore unacustomed to the biting cold New England winters. Since his arrival in the Big Apple, Nate has grown paler from lack of sun and from bundling up in more clothing than was actually necessary. Only during the summer would he wear shorts and a t-shirt. Spring and fall called for long pants and a short sleeved shirt only if the weather was above sixty degrees. Winter meant a jacket, boots, the warmest pants he could buy, a scarf and many layers underneath. He would wear a hat during the winter if they were not so itchy.

○ Nathaniel is a very lazy person. There is a reason he is being payed minimum wage at work and has yet to be promoted although he has worked there since he came to New York. He is responsible enough that he always finishes his tasks and is never late. But even so when he does things it is always at the very last minute and his work is generally satisfactory. The exception being when he is behind the camera. Only then does he actually make an attempt at something.

○ When speaking with another person, he always tries to be as honest as possible. That is not to say that he is above lying. He merely changes the wording when necessary in order to satisfy the needs of the situation. The best lies always do contain a grain of truth after all. But even so when questioned he will try to tell as much of the truth as possible. However there is a part of Nate that he would much rather not admit to himself. The part of him that lies; the part of him that is selfish and would do anything for his own gain. His selfishness has resulted in some less than admirable actions but he is no saint and neither are many of the six billion people on this planet.

○ One of the characteristics Nate likes about himself is that he is adaptable. It was a trait that he picked up from his childhood and was one that he deemed necessary for life. He is open to change and is not against life altering developments in life. He finds one good thing about the situation and from that he makes the best of it. Even if it means that he is stuck in his room and unable to leave due to the snow, he will make the best of it. Otherwise he probably would have gone insane long ago.

○ Children usually do not have memories of before the age of four. This is true of Nate who cannot remember any of his life before the age of five. He supposes that it is for the best because he likes to think that he was officially born at that age. From what his adoptive parents have told him, he was abandoned at a fire station at the age of four before they adopted him when he was five years old.

○ There is this stereotype that adoptive children have problems. This is not true. Nate was welcomed into the family with open arms and was accepted by everyone. He grew up with a relatively normal life. Although his adoptive parents let him know that he was adopted he never felt out of place with them and he considered them as his real parents. His older sister tolerated him as best as an older sister could. She never felt jealous that her parents adopted him but even if she did, she never showed it.

○ Life was good to Nate who passed school with no problems, had the occasional girlfriend here and there, and has his own group of friends. He didn't actually associate with many people at school but that was besides the point. He drank and he rebelled at some point in his life but there was never anything out of the ordinary with his life. Nate was perfectly ordinary.

He has a far way to go before he is fully awakened but he is starting to develop more of his powers. His still has little control of his powers as he lacks practice wielding the power of air. He has developed a normal affinity and can not only create wind but sometimes manipulate air. He can't really control much of his power but he can tone it down when he tries rather hard. Nate also has noticed the rune glows a soft yellow when he generates wind. He is starting to remember more about the past but for the most part he is unsure of most details. He remembers in the past that there were five kingdoms each known for being able to wield a different power. He can't remember much but he does remember he was once a great general who killed many enemies in war to defend his kingdom. Fate will post if the awakening continues.
