It's a fancy little joint, serving mostly little pastries and coffee. She waitresses. Previous to this she did a number of odd jobs such as dog-walking and babysitting while she was in school. ○ Living Situation She's living alone in a tiny west end apartment. It's a dingy set-up, with a bedroom just big enough to fit a twin bed and dresser into. It also has a small closet. The main area is an adjoined kitchen and living area, with a couch and dining table with chairs. From the window one basically gets a view of the brick wall next door. All in all, you could probably find a nicer room at a Holiday Inn. She doesn't mind it, though, keeping it clean and tidy despite its downsides. The area itself isn't that bad, filled mostly with single people like her, most of them nice. It isn't unusual to see drug deals going down on the streets, but for the most part everyone minds their own business. That's key - keep your nose where it belongs and you won't have any trouble. Ixee could afford something nicer, but she enjoys the live-and-let-live attitude, even if she has to care mace as a precaution. ○ Appearance Ixabelle is a little above average in height for a girl at about five feet and eight inches. Her complexion's a little on the pale side, as she stays inside a lot in the summer and doesn't tan well. From top to bottom, her hair is yellow-blonde, paling a bit in the summer and darkening in the winter (though not by much, as, again, she's often indoors), falling a little past her waist in length, though most of the time you'd never realize it. Her eyes are a blue with violet undertones, though you only see the purplish hue in the light. Her figure is pretty average, slim with a pretty mid-sized chest (she's not board-flat, but she wouldn't qualify as busty) and long legs. Her arms and calves are relatively toned from her waitressing job. Her style is pretty casual when she's not working. A lot of times she'll put her hair in a bun or under a hat since she doesn't feel like doing it, so most people don't even realize how long it is. She'll put a bit of eyeliner on in the morning, especially for work, but she rarely goes beyond that. Her clothing often reflects what's most comfortable for her in terms of the weather. Summer sees a lot of tank tops and jean shorts, while winter has a lot of sweatshirts and jeans. She'll wear hats pretty much all year, though a little less in the summer. Her wardrobe seems to have more cool-colored clothing than warm, but there's a little bit of everything. She has a fondness for boots that will last her awhile. She doesn't own much expensive clothing, the most expensive being a dress or two in the back of her closet.   PART 02 SPECIFICS ○ Possible Affinities Water, Earth, maybe Air ○ Personality Stoic; Ixee doesn't show a whole lot of emotion other than boredom or slight irritation. Not to say that she never laughs, but doesn't meet a whole lot of people who truly entertain her. The exception is when she's working, as she'll put on a cheerful demeanor for customers. Private; She doesn't pry into the business of others without them asking and she dislikes it when people don't feel the same way. Most of the time she'd just like to be left alone, and won't ask for help even when help would be warranted. Pushing into her life won't earn you any favors, and she'll just grow to hate you instead of appreciating what you've done. Friendly; Even though she doesn't express herself well, Ixee isn't mean. Most of the time if someone talks to her she'll reciprocate, and won't be rude unless they're obnoxious or she feels they have ulterior motives. She's good with children and those younger than her in general - they're not adults with their cruel ways of thinking, and they're normally just happy to be around you. She also has a soft spot for animals, though she can't take any home. Cautious; Because of her job and where she lives, Ixee can be pretty wary of men. If it's a casual chat she's fine, but she can pretty easily misconstrue an offer to walk her home for something else. It's sad, but it's a mentality she has to have in order to be safe. Most often she'll turn down any type of help from a man if it's given in the run-down areas near her home unless she really thinks she can trust him. Tough; Mostly a reiteration, but Ixee won't ask for help from anyone. She'd rather fight through on her own, even if someone's help could make it easier. She knows some self-defense and keeps mace with her when she travels, and it's a good thing, because she's had to use them both. However, despite the bad area, she chooses to live there on her own instead of getting somewhere nicer. She enjoys the privacy more than she dislikes the occasional danger. Loyal; Because her stoic nature can come off as rude to some people, most won't take the time to get to know her. However, if you get on her good side, she can be a very loyal friend or possibly lover. She won't betray someone that she's given a promise to, and will go to great lengths to do what she feels is right. Thrifty; Because of money problems in the past, Ixee would rather buy something cheap than something expensive, even if she could afford it. So, for clothing she gets things that will last awhile instead of just being stylish. Her apartment is cheap as well. She puts most of her money away. ○ History Though her life hasn't been perfect, Ixabelle's never truly wanted for anything she couldn't get with a little extra effort. Her family lived in a nice little middle-class home, with her parents and two older brothers. She was always the baby of the family, and though her brothers teased her relentlessly, they were protective of her as well. She was always a little withdrawn, possibly because of all the 'protection' she got. Her friends all had to be family-approved unless she truly wanted to rebel, which she didn't. Her mother was nice enough but worked a lot, so Ixee only really saw her at night for a few hours before going to bed. Her father had a good heart but was a little controlling. He'd get angry pretty easily. He was never violent or abusive, but when he did get angry everyone pretty much stayed out of his way for a few hours. When Ixee got into high school, her oldest brother was in college and the middle brother was a senior. He'd made it pretty clear that he'd help her out if she needed it, but that he didn't want his little sister hanging around with him. Ixabelle didn't press it, instead finding a small group of friends to spend her time with. They would drag her to sporting events and dances, and though Ixee didn't really enjoy it, she did love her friends. However, things started to break apart a little her junior year. Her youngest older brother got into some trouble, and the family had to work hard to try and help pay off his debts. That's when Ixee started working in her free time, and her friends drifted away. When she graduated, there really wasn't money left over to help send her to college. In order to help her family cope, she moved out and got an apartment on her own, as well as her job at the cafe. She worked a lot of hours, but got paid pretty well. She plans to go to college in the next year or so, but for now she focuses on making enough money to support herself as well as put a little away each month for tuition. She's only had one real problem while living in her current neighborhood, when she was walking home from work late. Nothing happened because of her mace - the man that had tried to jump her just screamed bloody murder as she ran home.
