○ On the contrary of what's believed, Christian is actually a fairly decent person. Although he has a few rather unusual and demented quirks here and there, he's pretty normal (despite his appearance), for the most part. It's not like he's a horrible person - he's trying to study to become a doctor, his near life-long dream. And perhaps pursue a side career in music. Sure, he might be a bit, well, dark, but he's a good guy, honest!
○ CARING; He hates to see people die - dying is bad. So he strives to become a doctor, ever since he was a little child. Although his views on it have changed recently (like, he doesn't want to save lives as much, and dying is not the natural process of things and he must now accept that), they're not so different from his childhood dream of becoming a doctor. He doesn't like to socialize, and he hates little kids - but he still wants to become a doctor for some reason. Has his childhood engraved it in his mind that he can no longer change what he wants?
○ CRUEL; Believe it or not - Christian has a fair amount of cruelty in him. If he doesn't like a person - then that person had better prepare for war. Like, full-blown, all out war. So it's best to keep on his good side and not to tick him off in one way or the other. Which can be quite difficult at times when he's already in an off mood and every little thing annoys the heck out of him. And that's pretty often. The only time when you can piss him off and get away with it is at work, but if it gets excessive he will hunt you down and give you hell.
○ Vengeful; If someone gets him really mad, rest assured he will repay then back tenfold. He's a grudge-holder, he doesn't forget easy. He still wants to pay back those kids from ten years ago that stole his shoe when he was walking home. It has yet to happen (sure, he's had twelve years but there just hasn't been that perfect time), but he's counting on it soon, seeing as they're still in the same neighborhood that they were in when they were children. Sure, it's a bit childish and maybe it's just his emotions controlling him, but can he really help it?
○ Prideful; Christian takes pride in his work - playing his instrument, getting good grades, earning awards. It all added up into his ever inflating ego. He doesn't let it get the best of him, but it's still there, present and smirking at him when he's trying to leave it behind. It's an everlasting internal battle between Christian and his ego, and his ego wins most of the time. He always has to be the best - has to have the best -get the best and surpass everyone. And it's infuriating when he sees someone take away a prize that he felt he deserves.
○ Jealous; The green-eyed monster appears again - in Christian. If he's threatened by anyone intellectually or physically, he'll strive to be better, become better. Because he's jealous and insecure about himself. He has to be the best - he has to be. Some might say he has an inferiority complex - and maybe he does. He doesn't care, he just needs to be the best. He needs people to see him as someone to look up to, someone to praise, someone to be jealous of. Someone that is the best of the best - to be perfect in every way.
○ Selfish; Honestly, he only thinks of himself. Him first, then his family. Then his friends, and then acquaintances. Rarely does it ever get past his friends, and the rare time it does it's because he's been in an oddly good mood. But he thinks of himself first. He only does things that benefit him in some way - that he'd get something in return. Something worth his time, at least.

○ Amy and Daniel Orias, two high school sweet hearts. Five years after their relationship started, they got married. They were ecstatic, deeply in love and mad for each other. From the beginning to the end. Or at least, that's what's assumed, after going strong for over twenty years. And thus they began their family. Excited, they got to work right away.[/blockquote]
○ An average family, and average child. That's what Christian was - an average child. At least, in the beginning he was. Born on the twenty first of July, he came into this world crying and relatively healthy from two very normal, very loving parents. It was 3:24 in the afternoon and it was sunny and warm. He didn't remember this date - who even remembered their birth? He sure didn't. He was only going by what his parents had told him, and he believed them. What reason would he have to doubt his parents, anyways? They weren't liars, and he was their son. The eldest of two, he might add.
○ The first couple of years after he had been given life were peaceful. Sure, he didn't remember them well, but they were peaceful. At the age of five he was happy and started to store long term memories into his brain. And long term they were, because the next thing he knew he was getting a little baby sister. And so his parents waited for the jealousy. The temper tantrums. The things any other child would have done - any other rational child. But Christian stood there, curiously looking at his mother's swelling belly. He remembered he pointed at it too. "Sissy?" Two months later his mother was rushed to the hospital and gave birth to Ariel Orias. After they found that their eldest child remained okay with their attention away from him, they started to dote on their little girl.
○ So, of course, Christian was jealous. who wouldn't be? After hogging his parent's attention for five years of his life, being ignored at times was not a pleasant change for the boy. This was the first time he was aware of it - but he loved the attention. Unfortunately the little boy of only five years had it robbed from him to his sister. At first he hated her for it - but he was a little boy and hate was not really hate. It was just a strong dislike. So in actuality, he was just jealous. Absolutely green with envy.
○ Though he loved his sister very much. And his parents. He just wanted their attention. A year later he took up an instrument - the violin. Being only six he couldn't comprehend music, couldn't read, couldn't even play correctly. Of course after spending money on the violin for the boy, it took a while to recover the money and Christian was without a teacher. Not knowing the proper way to play the house was on some random occasions filled with horrible music that didn't even sound, well, musical. With an odd note here and there and the lack of the ability to properly tune and care for his instrument (he's only six! erh seven now), the instrument fell into disrepair and he eventually forgot about it for three months.
○ It wasn't until (finally!) then that Christian was able to play the instrument, with the help of the hired tutor. Tediously, his instructor was calm whenever Christian messed up (which was often), forced him to place his scales until they were ingrained in his brain, memorized. The only time he remembered his mentor ever being mad at him when he had dyed his hair (his parents honestly were okay with it, but his mentor was another story), he was saying crazy things like "The way they raise the youth these days!" He eventually got over it and maintained his even temper. Although Christian caught an occasional eye twitch at the color of his hair. From seven years of age to ten years of age, Christian practiced every day with his mentor from the moment he got home until the moment dinner was ready.
○ At ten his mentor was getting old, ready to retire. And in this he moved across the country to be closer to his daughter. So he was without a mentor - but he practiced every single day, from the moment he got home until the moment dinner was ready, even without the instruction of his tutor. He was starting to appreciate the beauty of music, fascinated from the improvement he's made in three years. He could make beautiful sounds - sounds his family and his sister, and even himself, enjoyed. He decided then that he wanted to become a musician.
○ It didn't take long for him to abandon that dream to become a musician. In actuality, he only had that dream for about a month until his father took him to work. Daniel Orias was a doctor - a surgeon. Although the 'take your kid to work day' in which Christian visited his dad at work was slow and nothing happened, he was fascinated (once again) by the hospital and the fact that doctors could save lives. So he promptly told his father he wanted to be 'just like him' after a month of insisting he wanted to become a musician.
○ Suffice to say their parents immediate switched gears to accommodate for his goal. He was enrolled into a private school, received good marks all the while practicing his instrument diligently and slowly improving. But hell eventually broke loose - some kids jumped him on the way back from school to home and took his shoes. Christian did not react very well to it - vowed revenge and took off running home without his shoes. They were really good shoes too. His family asked questions but he refused to speak of it, plotting his revenge. Now that he's nearing twenty he still hasn't completed his ultimate revenge plan - he keeps editing and deleting and adding that it's just taking a long long time.
○ School passed, slowly but surely. He improved on his violin and kept his grades up. He was already looking at colleges, but he decided at an early age he wanted to stay local - at least somewhere in New York. He was offered a scholarship, perhaps because of his musical talent, or maybe his grades. He quickly accepted it to Columbia University. Instead of taking some nonsense like Biochemistry as a major, he took on music. He had a higher chance of getting accepted into medical school that way. He's currently in his third year of college, taking up all the classes required for medical school, plus a music theory class.
