How they were able to do that escaped her mind, boggling it and making it extremely difficult on concentrate on the subtitles the theater so graciously provided. Thank goodness for them, too, or else the blond haired girl would have lost interest in the performance quickly due to the fact that it was in French, and that the story would fall dead to her ears. But even now, she was shifting in her seat uncomfortably, eyes trained on the moving captions. From what she understood, the play was about to end. Good thing too, because she wasn't sure if she could last another minute or so longer feeling her hearing ability going down the drain. Still, Joze wasn't inconsiderate enough not to appreciate them, as they must have worked hard. And for how long did they hold those notes? But that was as much praise as they would get from Joze. Because if it were her choice, she should have just stayed home and feigned sickness.
Speaking of which - when would the students be dismissed? When could she just go home? According to the plans for today, she should be able to go home and take perhaps an hour nap before heading off to work - a mere blessing for her. She couldn't patiently wait anymore. Hopefully it would end quickly for her. But as she was waiting for the time to go faster, she could have swore she felt time move sluggishly. Just my luck, too.
Why did her parents have to sign her up for this? Honestly, she didn't get why they had to. After all, opera wasn't her thing. They knew that. But they said it was extra credit. And she could always use more of that. Just, what class was this anyways? Where would this extra credit be going? For all she knew, these kids she was with were piggybacking the extra credit and having their parents pay for it. She was one of those 'recommended people' or some sort of crap like that. Why would she be recommended, anyways? It wasn't like she was some start student or anything, although she did work studiously during classes and was all around a good student, though she was bathed in the constant fear of losing her scholarship and not attending the school anymore. Which led her, ultimately, to stress, and from there, how uptight she was about school. Although, she did miss her friends, and hanging out - but that could wait until school ended, she got a stable job and a steady flow of money.
The increasing worry to Joze was, what if she didn't have any friends after she finished school? Her plan was absolutely flawless up until that realization. Sure, she had acquaintances, but her friends were steadily growing apart from her and to be frank, she was doing nothing about it. How long ago had it been since she had last hung out with her best friend? The one that lived next door and ultimately disappeared out of her life for the sole purpose of Joze and her busy ass school. If only she could be relax about it and take a break, like so many others at her school.
When would this show end? Surely, it couldn't go on forever, right? Sure, now that she thought about it, the show was just dragging on, forever and ever. Perhaps if she just focused and got enthralled then the time would get faster. Joze needed to trick her brain into thinking this, to trick herself. But it was hard, increasingly difficult as she tried to wrap her mind around the intricate plot. Maybe, maybe she could occupy herself with looking at the audience. But when her seat was promptly facing the stage, and looking back would result in death glares from their chaperons, she was sure. So that was a no go. Maybe she should just go and watch the show as it reached it climax.
Eh, that was too easy.
DATE ○ September 16th, Friday
TIME ○ 1:32pm, in the afternoon
WEATHER ○ It's after lunch, the school field trip to the opera house. Only people who've signed up or had been recommended to go are there, but that doesn't stop them from feeling the urge to move and shift in their seats. It's not long until the show ends, and the students will have to shift their eyes from the dim light of the opera house to the bright sunlight filtering from the sky.
NOTES: finally finished it. yay, accomplishment. Sorry it's not much to work with, and it's slight god mod for making it at the opera house (i seriously could not resist), but i hope it's alright?[/style][STYLE=font-size:10px; font-color:#000000; font-family:verdana;]shiki at btn[/style]
