INDIFFERENCE OR B. DISINTEREST IN WHAT THE CRITICS SAY. IT'S TIME FOR US TO TAKE A CHANCE IT'S TIME FOR US. WELL WE'RE JUST A WET DREAM FOR A WEBZINE MAKE US IT MAKE US HIP MAKE US SCENE | [atrb=padding-top: 20px;] This thing… this teardrop item. It was definitely important. The reason she had picked it up, she now realized, was because she thought it might be useful. But how? And what was it? She couldn’t tell, but it had to work. It just had to. Otherwise they’d all be dead. Everyone. The best course of action would be going to them. But how would they react to a complete stranger? For all they knew, she could be the icicle flinging murderer. And, what about the person in the car? Was he okay? He might be a survivor. Or maybe he really was dead. Someone died… Everyone died. Even she was going to die. But this soon – he had probably not suspected it. That he would die. That was horrible – had she laid witness to it? Hopefully he was not dead. Hopefully he had only been unconscious when she saw him, lying there, in that ruined car. Or maybe he was so near death… no she would not think of that. Think positive, Joze. Think positive. But how could she think positive when the negative was so much more likely, hanging over her in a very negative like air.
On the pretense of worry, she tried to run over there, wary of icicles, but hopefully none would hit her. Maybe she would be lucky again. But she didn’t count on it. The car would be her cover. If she looked for cover, eventually she would be found, and she would die. No, maybe she should just confront the thing. But before that, she had to find out about the other people. Who were they? Why were they here? And what in the world were they planning? If they were planning anything at all. This may be a death and suicide mission if they went. But it was better than just sitting there, like sitting ducks, being cowards. But still, she would need to contact them. And perhaps this thing, this teardrop thing would help them in the least. If anything, at least ward off immediate death. She broke off into a run, hurrying. The only good thing she could think of was that she wasn’t cold anymore, comical if anything. Why was she even thinking of that? There was another thing that she should be addressing her attention to. Another very important thing. The other people. They’d probably think her nuisance. But she had to explain – tell them that this person, the icicle thrower, was probably not going to die of normal circumstances. Even though she had convinced herself before that the supernatural was not an option, unfortunately, it probably was. And if it wasn’t – at least she had kept an open mind and expected the worst, so she was prepared for the worst.
Since the thing already probably knew where she was, and where she was going, she had no qualms about shouting. Not anymore. The hell to being careful. But… no, not yet. __________________________________

He thew yet another javelin - but had missed. It was almost a shame that he was going to claim such a life - she was an interesting creature and a fast runner. None the less, the frost elemental had a task to finish. Ignoring the three warm bodies by the automotive vehicle, he began marching toward the loner. Slightly frustrated and growing increasingly impatient, the elemental let out a low growl, a fury of snow and hail escaping through his parted lips, releasing a terrible snow storm. He chuckled, the deep sound vibrating through the thin air. Along with the sudden snow storm, the elemental picked up one of his massive, icy feet and quickly stomped it back on the ground. A loud smash echoed through the air as large stalactites made of ice came erupting up from the ground in the path that the lone girl was running. |

Upon hearding her plan, Katie set in motion and appeared fairly confident as she made her way over to the side of the car, looking for something to attack the beast with. As this was happening, Audrey was still in shock. They were actually doing this.
Seconds later, Katie appeared by Audrey`s side, assuming the same preditor-like position. Audrey felt sorry for the young girl beside her; with purple hair flicked behind her slim shoulders and violet eyes wide, she appeared so strong and brave. This tugged at Audrey`s heart strings. Despite being rash, she had a good heart and had a wonderful life to live. If for that alone, Audrey would be sure that they were successful in their bold endevour.
Rash and owning a sense of humour, Katie repeated the plan back to Audrey. With an umbrella the girl had found in the back seat of the car, she was going to hit their attacker over the head repeatedly. It wasn`t a bad idea, actually. The head was such a sensitive and vulnerable area, it wouldn`t take much to create a hemmorage or massive flesh wound. The blood vessels in the head were close to the surface of the skin, so if you were hit hard enough in enough places...
A sudden rush of cold hit Audrey square in the face and goosebumps covered her exposed skin. It suddenly felt like the middle of winter and she saw bits of snow and ice furiously flyinf through the air. For Audrey, this was like a science experiment gone so horribly, terribly wrong. Her muscles were twitching in impatience as they continued to be contracted. Carefully, Audrey stuck her head out and peered out from the car.
There was a snowstorm going on out there. Literally. And they thought that the fog was bad. It was like a blanket of white had been hung from the ceiling for Audrey could see the dimly shining stars and haze of city lights low in the sky but nothing directly infront of her. Though she couldn`t see, she heard a large crash coming from somewhere withing the storm... the eery sound seemed to hang in the hair and she had a hunch of where she was headed.
Inwardly, Audrey counted to three - and it was the fasted three seconds of her life.
Not wanting to give herself time to think about the situation, Audrey dashed out into the storm without another word to her partner. Katie seemed like a bright girl. She was brave. She had a plan. She would be alright. Now Audrey on the other hand...
The caramel-skinned woman ran straight ahead, her long, white hair whisking and dancing behind her due to her velocity and the ferocious wind. Her dark skin stood out from the canvis of white, hopefully serving as a target for what ever was causing this mess and a beakon for Katie to run to.
Further and further into the storm Audrey ran, her heart pounding like it never had before. There was a lot on the line and no one was going to die on her watch.
The longer Audrey ran, the colder it became. She took this change in temperature to be a good sign- she was going to run straight to the source and was finally going to come face-to-face with whatever wanted them all dead so desperately.

She glanced down at the umbrella, it was black, not the ideal colour to remain unseen in the dense fog. It didn't really matter anyway, he bright hair would give them away anyway. She continued to twist the umbrella finding it rather soothing. She couldn't believe that she was about to charge some supernatural ice monster. It was either that or some kind of special effects serial killer. Neither option looked good.
Katie was snapped out of her thoughts as she felt a rush of cold air. She knew it was already cold but this was a new kind of temperature. Katie felt goosebumps rise along her arms as she had to cover her face from the snow and ice that was whipping through the construction lot. She glanced upward to still see that stars. The snow wasn't falling from the sky, that was for sure. What had Katie so lost was how it was just being generated so aggressively.
She couldn't even feel her skin as it took only moments for her whole body to go numb. She already knew that it was a long shot for them to actually win but she never realized she would be stupid and brave enough to run into death. She gasped slightly as she watched Audrey run into the blizzard. Katie sighed slightly as she figured it was time to follow.
Katie was pretty sure she would have lost Audrey within the snow storm if she hadn't had such tan skin. Katie had to shield her face with her arms as the snow storm was attacking her face rather harshly. She contemplated opening up the umbrella but figured she would have to be ready to spasm attack whatever was causing the storm. It was slowly getting colder and colder as they ran through the blizzard. She guessed it was a good sign as thew ere getting closer to the source of it but it also meant they were getting closer to their deaths.
Katie could have sworn she was having some major de ja vu. She had lived this running through a snow storm multiple times in her dreams. It was rather odd. It would makes sense why everything was so familiar, like how the car triggered her memory. She couldn't help but wish she knew how the dream ended but she was sure she was about to find out. Katie lifted the umbrella over her head as she charged into the great unknown. She yelled some form of battle cry but her voice quickly became lost in the howling winds that threatened to freeze her to death. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=style, width: 450px; padding: 10px; background-color: #333333, bTable] JUST FOR THE RECORD, THE WEATHER TODAY IS SLIGHTLY SARCASTIC WITH A GOOD CHANCE OF A. INDIFFERENCE OR B. DISINTEREST IN WHAT THE CRITICS SAY. IT'S TIME FOR US TO TAKE A CHANCE IT'S TIME FOR US. WELL WE'RE JUST A WET DREAM FOR A WEBZINE MAKE US IT MAKE US HIP MAKE US SCENE | [atrb=padding-top: 20px;] Before she could yell her guts out, she stopped to contemplate her situation. She was out here, in the cold, foggy night, where some killer was on the loose, hunting her and a possible three others down. How in the world had she gotten into this mess?! This stupid, stupid mess. It could very well cost her life. It may already have cost her life. But now that she was in this mess, she would probably have to stick it out until the end. Oh joy. Joze was definitely not going to look forward to this. After all, who would look forward to something as terrifying as this? But she kept on running. And running. But she switched gears. She was no longer aiming for the car – she was aiming for that bloody monster. She had let it go on this long… screw the other people, this monster was better off gone and then she’d go on and check on them. Besides, they should be healthy save for the man that had been in the car. Later. A few off minutes honestly couldn’t hurt that much, unless he was in serious condition. But what could they do about that, if it was the case?
Of course, the dense fog disabled her. She couldn’t see far – and that had to be a disadvantage. Whoever we’re up against – unfortunately, he had the sense to hide himself somewhat from us... But it was all going to work out somehow, wasn’t it? It was how all stories go – the good guys always won. And Joze was pretty sure that the person she was up against – it was definitely the antagonist – the villain. After all, it was trying to kill them – or so she had assumed with her little knowledge. But the worst part was… it was to come, as she was about to find out. Honestly, if only she had worn a better jacket, she probably wouldn’t be in the situation she would be in a mere five seconds later.
The cold hit her suddenly. Hard. Almost immediately, her teeth started chattering. This is no time for teeth-chattering! But she couldn’t help it. It was too abrupt. Why the heck is there a freakin’ snow storm here, anyways? By this time Joze had already been convinced this was the working of an supernatural being, and that this was already a suicide mission whether she liked it or not. And she still wanted to say goodbye to her family. But negative things were something she knew she shouldn’t linger on. But it was just a little hard to stay positive when you were being blasted in the face with an out of the ordinary snow storm that should not even be there. The white snow didn’t look like it was settling, not anytime soon. She thought to herself, I wonder how the weather reporters are going to explain this… Honestly, it was the only thing she could think of to keep her mind of impending doom.
The snow was cold as it fell on her, and she sneezed. Once, twice, three times. Another icicle shaped thing whizzed by her. If Joze had only been a touch to the left… She kept on running. And then she lost her balance. It was like a giant earthquake hit her, knocking her on the hard concrete road. And then ice… _________________________________

[/size] The small teardrop shaped stone slowly starts to glow a soft blue. As Joze is running for her dear life she can't help but notice that it is starting to heat up to the point where it is hot to touch. The snow that is whipping through the air seems to melt in mid air when in comes within a three feet radius of the stone. Joze can't help but feel the strength from the stone almost pulsating with the time of her heart. It is almost like it is trying to tell her something. As if the pieces just came together, as Joze's hearts continues to speed up to the point where she is running for her life she sees a small white rune start to glow in the middle of the teardrop. It is visibly pulsating and is almost too hot to actually touch. The pain it is causing Joze is unbearable, not only in her hand but also in the middle of her chest. The heat seems almost unbearable but she can't seem to make out what it wants her to do. Does she let go and smash it or does she touch the rune? Joze, you get next post followed by Fate yet again. WELL WE'RE JUST A WET DREAM FOR A WEBZINE MAKE US IT MAKE US HIP MAKE US SCENE | [atrb=padding-top: 20px;] She hesitantly got up to her feet. Why wasn’t she dead yet? She started running again. But then, Joze realized something. She didn’t feel like she was getting blasted by the coldness anymore. If anything, she felt hot. A nice enough change from the previously cold climate, but she couldn’t help but notice that the heat was radiating from her hand. That object… the teardrop thing… It was noticeably hotter – almost too hot. But for now she embraced the heat. Now that she didn’t feel that much colder, and that the snow was turning into warm drops of water, she felt more confident. But still, this was scaring her. Why the sudden change… what the heck happened? Though she could not say she was ungrateful. Perhaps just confused. Still, she was lucky, wasn’t she? Otherwise she would still be freezing her ass off. She preferred warmth over the cold, and somehow this stone thing was providing it to her. But she couldn’t help but feel as though there was some other thing, something she honestly was not getting. What was it?
Of course, now she had to conclude that this was not normal. This was definitely unusual. And now she was going to have to go on and discard everything she had learned, such as monsters and magic did not exist. Because this glowing stone clearly contradicted that fact – and everything she had been raised to believe. Now what – did Santa Claus exist? No, she was just being silly now. But as she thought, she realized something. The thumping. The pulsing. Is this thing actually alive? She looked down at her hand. No, that’s impossible. But it was unmistakable – the beating. In tempo, with her own heartbeat. As her’s increased, faster and faster, her feet pounding the ground in time. Running, running. For her life. She needed to survive. And she believed that this stone would help her.
But as she continued, pain seared through her, white hot. The stone… it was the stone! The teardrop thing, it was utterly unbearable hot now. Was she going to be burnt to a crisp? No, no, it couldn’t be… and her chest – suddenly the pain was there too. What the hell was happening to her? It had to be this teardrop she as holding. Looking closer, she noticed a design. A weird one, but it looked important. Maybe… curiosity overwhelmed the girl as she touched it. Not once did she consider to destroy the thing that was causing her the pain, but was this the right choice? Was this really what she wanted? She didn’t know. But it was too late now. _________________________

[/size] The small teardrop flashes an unbearably bright white light. The white light flashes for nothing more than an instant but its presence is astounding. When vision returns to all characters the Teardrop is gone.
Joze can't help but glance down at her palm as it is searing hot. Upon her right palm is a small rune, similar to the one on the teardrop but slightly different. It is glowing a soft blue but doesn't seem to hurt to the touch.
Audrey can't help but notice something strange. The snow is melting instantly when it touches her. She has no idea why as she feels completely normal. Audrey may or may not notice that her right ankle bone is slightly swollen and is covered in a bright red rash.
Katie glances down at her left palm and notices there is a blazing rune similar to Joze's but it is glowing a soft purple. She has a major headache and is feeling rather confused.
All characters have been healed! This means that their energy is at full power and they are ready to do what they need to do. This also means that the elemental has been healed. It is not at full power but it is at maximum capacity in its current state. ALL BIOS HAVE BEEN UPDATED! ADDITIONAL INFORMATION HAS BEEN ADDED ON YOUR APPS. If you have any questions feel free to PM the admin account. We will continue with the posting order starting with Audrey! [/size] [/div] [/td][/tr][/table][/center]

It was bright white and only lasted for a minute, but it was disorienting, like staring at a light bulb for too long. Her eyes hurt slightly from the brightness but the light was gone nearly as quickly as it appeared. Taking a heartbeat to collect herself, Audrey shook her head and tried to make the little blue and purple spots she was seeing in her vision disappear.
She had a task to do. She had to focus.
By this point, Audrey had well concluded that not everything is what it seems; she was about to fight a monster in the middle of a snow storm in New York City during the late summer for crying out loud! This went against everything that Audrey had ever learnt, yet here she was, attempting to slay something that shouldn't actually exist. Audrey should have been frightened, but she was not. She was annoyed. Sudden anger began to course through Audrey's vein's as the she finally began to realize the ridiculousness of it all. She was mad that this was happening; science had deemed it impossible.
Determined to end this and figure out what was exactly going on, Audrey marched onward, continuing her beeline into the heart of the storm. Although the brilliant light had vanished, it was still snowing. And hard. Audrey was able to see the small, white flakes moving rapidly around her but she couldn't actually feel them. As a matter of fact, Audrey no longer felt the cold nipping at her limbs. Again, impossible considering she was trekking through subzero conditions, yet it was happening. Glancing down at her bare forearm, Audrey saw that the snow and ice was actually melting the instant it made contact with her. Her eyebrows shot up, wayyy up. The last thing she needed was a fever... seriously concerned with her new state of health, a steady stream of curse words escaped her thin lips. Apparently she was burning up, and big time, but didn't even notice.
Blaming the current situation and the obscene amount of adrenaline that was being pumped through her body, Audrey was now determined to finish this as quickly as possible. If she was right, as she usually was, Audrey needed to get her ass into a hospital, and fast.
Transforming her pace from a march to a sprint, Audrey bolted. Not paying attention to the flakes whizzing by or the wetness on her arms caused by the melting precipitation, Audrey's eyes were set straight ahead of her.
It came into view rather quickly... it was large - both tall and wide - and looked as if it appeared to be made of ice. It's crystalized body matched the cocoon that was beginning to engulf the unconscious man she had left behind. Thoughts of the helpless stranger soon flooded Audrey's mind and her heart rate increased significantly. He didn't have much time left, either.
Taking in a deep breathe, Audrey closed the gap between her and the monster. It continued to walk forward, it's large steps causing the ground to shake and Audrey knew that it was now or never. Luckily, Audrey had always been able to handle pressure well. Without a second thought, or really any thought, she dashed out infront of the beast, being careful to avoid stepping directly in its path. She jumped up once and flailed her hands in the air while yelled up, "Down here!"
With a large amount of her caramel skin exposed, Audrey was certain that the thing had seen her, she was like a beacon in this frozen wasteland. Now hopefully Katie was able to see her, too.

A bight flash seemed to blind katie as she stumble a little through the snow storm. She couldn't see anything as the snow storm prevented her from seeing much but she was sure that the blinding light was unnatural. Black dots raced across her vision. She had no idea how long the white flash had lasted but she was starting to doubt there was a flash to begin with as it disappeared as fast as it appeared. She decided it was time to man up, she had lives depending on her and the umbrella that dangled by her side.
She sprinted off into the snow storm with a new found energy she didn't know she had. A couple moments ago she was ready to pass out but now she had no problem bolting towards the source of the snow storm. It is in this rather brave moment when Katie is sprinting that she notices there is a soft purple rune upon her left palm. She doesn't stop sprinting but she does take the time to look over the symbol that had appeared on her palm. She tried to figure out what it was and how it had gotten there but she was drawing a blank. It seemed like it meant something but she couldn't put her finger on it.
As she continued to run she noticed the rune was glowing a soft purple. She should have noticed before but she couldn't help but start to feel a little dizzy. As she ran, she knew she was freezing but it was the pounding in her head that was making Katie cringe in pain. What was she doing anyway! Running at a monster? She was a complete idiot, it didn't matter at the moment anyway. She would deal with her splitting head ache in a moment, after the monster was dead. Katie spotted Audrey's darker skin among the white blanket of snow. After closer inspection she also noticed the tall monster. It was rather large and seemed unfairly strong compared to herself.
Katie didn't hesitate to bring up the umbrella once she got within striking range of the beast. It's crystalline body seemed deadly but she was sure it would crack eventually. She brought down the umbrella upon the beasts head. An earsplitting crack erupted from the contact. Katie brought back the umbrella to see it had bent in half, the monster seemed to be fine though. She cursed under her breathe. What the hell were they supposed to do! Katie wished she could think straight but her head was hurting too much to think beyond the fact they were crewed. WELL WE'RE JUST A WET DREAM FOR A WEBZINE MAKE US IT MAKE US HIP MAKE US SCENE | [atrb=padding-top: 20px;] Blinding white light. Was this what it was like, dying? Surely, it must be her imagination. But on the subject of dying – was she dead? No, that was stupid. If she was dead, she wouldn’t be thinking. Although, she could be thinking if she died, as who had actually died and lived to tell the tale? That would be a paradox – no one could actually die and live. Sure, one could live and then die, but no one could do it at the same time. So, in theory, it was possible to think if you were dead. But that would mean that afterlife would exist, and she saw no afterlife. Was she doomed to live with her thoughts forever? What in the world had Joze done to deserve this cruel punishment? She hadn’t done anything sinful, at least not to her knowledge. She might have been a good deal horrible to a couple of people, but she wasn’t naturally mean or anything, was she? Was she just not being a good person without knowing it? No – if she were being mean then she would know, right? Of course she would, or so she kept telling herself. She tried blinking away the blinding light, fixating her eyes on something that would get the brightness out of her system. Wait a minute.
She had blinked, hadn’t she? That meant… she was alive! Though, she should have guessed as much. She could still feel her body, the weight of it still present and it wasn’t like she was numb. And the fact that she could think should have hinted Joze. And though she hadn’t noticed before, there was still the pain present on her person – the aftermath of the whole heating incident with the tightness and thumping of her chest. And the fact that her heart was still pounding from that very unexpected adrenaline rush. But the white light had caught her off guard. Stupid stereotypical death stories – confusing the heck out of people who think they die because of a blinding white light that temporary alarms the temporary blinded person. Joze was practically scowling now. But her gaze was soon drawn to her hand. It was burning up. It felt like it was burning up, despite how cold the atmosphere around her was. What the heck…? There was no doubt about it – she was definitely caught up in a world full of unusual things. But as she looked at her hand (and looked around for the teardrop shaped stone, but found it nowhere in sight. Should she have succumbed to curiosity like she did… because it was nowhere in sight), she found a curious looking shape. A familiar looking shape.
Like the one on the stone. But different, somehow. The shape was more of a line in incoherent squiggles, but somehow it fit. Was it… was it glowing? Pulsing almost, but her eyes could be playing tricks on her. But one thing was certain – it was a rather unnatural shade of blue. First she had also thought this was her eyes deceiving her, but it wasn’t. It was a fact, and her eyes were actually confirming it. For the many, many times today – What the heck?! She felt like she was overusing that phrase, but it was more than appropriate for the situation at hand. Besides, what else could she say to that? Reality was being distorted now, and Joze could do nothing to stop it. But the question was – did she want to stop it? Not really – she as enthralled.
Although, weird as it was – she felt healthy and rather… normal. Aside from her hand, which wasn’t painful, and the squiggly thing didn’t hurt. Not to her touch, anyways. That was miraculous – was she actually healed? No, impossible. But she might as well take advantage of her rapidly increased healthy and run towards the offending figure again. Besides… she wasn’t cold anymore. Although, she should probably be careful. Carefully jogging back and picking up one of the icicles, Joze calculated how long it would be to try to kill the thing. Or… seriously injure it. It would be ironic, really, if she would be able to hit the figure. Thing. Hit with their own weapon. Joze knew better than the throw it , she would probably miss (being the horrible shot that she was), and would have to run for her life. But for the meantime, she would work on running towards the figure.
Which was a little hard because she was a bit disoriented because of all the whiteness. The snow, and the ice. She lost sense of direction… before trying to retrace her steps and looking for familiar landmarks. How was that working out for her so far? Terribly. The snow that was dropping impaired her vision (if only a little bit, it was still annoying at heck). But soon she was able to find her way towards the general direction of the thing, and although she might be wrong and miss the person entirely, at least she would get a decent shot. _________________________

What he did notice though was that the snow storm was picking up in intensity. He didn't know how but he was positive he hadn't had that much energy left but he felt rather replenished despite the fact that he was using dangerous amounts of energy. The snow storm was quickly raging faster and faster around himself but he could still feel the ice that surrounded his body ripple with power. He was ready to make his final stand.
It was then that he noticed the three auras around him. They were all flaring about, much stronger than they were moments ago. They all seemed equally strong but there was one heat source that continuously ran back and forth. He smiled slightly, apparently someone had a death wish. He rose his arms but stumbled slightly as he felt a blow to his head. He quickly turned to see a purple aura. He slammed his fist upon the ground and a large pillar of ice seemed to start to grow from the ground at the base of the humans feet.
He could barely see the faint purple hair on the human but it didn't matter. He kept his palms upon the ground forcing the ice pillar to grow taller, if she stayed much longer she would be incased in the ice and join him in killing the other two humans. Didn't matter, they would all die in the name of ice one way or another. |

It stumbled slightly before quickly snapping around, but that was little comfort to Audrey. Katie's attack had definitely hit the icy beast but it seemed ready to take it's revenge.
Slamming his fists upon the ground, Audrey saw a rapidly growing pillar appear infront on the monster, no doubt aimed at her purple-haired team mate. Grunting, Audrey began to run, ice, snow and sleet continuing to melt around her. Maybe the extremely high fever would work to her advantage? Clearly losing her mind, Audrey used her running start to gain momentum and spring onto the hunched-over beast's back.
As Audrey leapt through the air, she just prayed she would reach her target. With her blue eye transfixed on the middle of the monster's back, she nearly screamed. Trapped within the vast crystal cocoon was a body - a human body. Trying to process this new piece of information, Audrey wrapped her arms around the man's thick, icy neck she desperately tried to come up with a new battle strategy. Now realizing that this monster was actually a human being, they couldn't very well kill it.
"Don't kill it!" Audrey shouted, hoping that her voice travelled enough in the storm to be either heard by Audrey or the brave stranger, "There's a person in there!"
Shit. Shit. Shit. Audrey cursed to herself. What were they supposed to do, now?
She hugged the icy human creature tighter, maybe her body heat would help the cause? As Audrey clung it, her arms exposed to the elements, she couldn't help but realize that she still wasn't cold. Not a single hair stood on end and no goosebumps covered her body. This was bad, very bad.

She took a slow step back not really sure what she should be doing. Instead of running away which would have been the smart decision she instead watched as the crystal beast turned to face her. She shuddered as she took in its features, the harsh edge of the ice cast dark shadows around its face. Event the frost that was growing up its legs seemed scary, the whole beast screamed psycho killer.
Katie brushed a stray strand of her bright purple hair out of her face, the storm had become stronger. She tried not to spite herself by wishing for a nice cup of cocoa. Apparently the elemental didn't like to be hit on the head as it slammed its large hands against the snow covered ground. It didn't take Katie long to realize she was so screwed. The ground beneath her feet rumbled slightly before a large ice pillar started to emerge rather quickly. Katie jumped out of her stunned phase.
She quickly chuck the umbrella at the large ice beast before running toward the other girl. Not Audrey but the one who had remained pretty unseen this whole time. Katie grimaced slightly as she felt her ankle get skimmed by the rising pillar. She glance down and notice that her ankle was gushing blood, not to mention it was already going blue from the cold. She didn't even feel the pain as the pillar had somehow super freeze her leg instantly. She started to stumble towards the other girl. Katie was pretty sure Audrey had said not to kill it but Katie didn't really think she was able at this point.
She tried to avoid whimpering as she couldn't feel her leg as if the cold was spreading. She fell onto the cold ground with a soft thud. There was no way she was going to run around anymore! She felt dizzy from the white light still and the world was kind of fuzzy and dark. She could still feel the snow whip against her face with a new found determination. How she hated the snow! She inhaled slowly before resisting the urge to sleep. They had to defeat that stupid ice bitch! WELL WE'RE JUST A WET DREAM FOR A WEBZINE MAKE US IT MAKE US HIP MAKE US SCENE | [atrb=padding-top: 20px;] Holding the icicle was not proving effective. More than once had Joze considered dropping it and running for her dear life in the opposite direction, while she was still in good health and able to do so without her entire hand becoming cold, numb flesh. Right, she was holding the icicle and it was wet, cold, and slippery in her grasp. Even though she really did want to drop the damned thing, she couldn't, although it did a good job of slipping out of her hands and nearing crashing onto the ground. And she would be without a weapon - and be as good as dead. Still, even in her confidence and strength, she had no idea what this thing, this creature, was capable of. Yes, it happened to be able to hurl large icicles at people, and it's aim seemed to be quite off. Other than that, from what she could sort of tell, it was tall. It was most definitely powerful - enough to manipulate the weather and climate to it's advantage. That's just not fair! Although she was complaining, she couldn't waste time lingering on the thoughts. And her mind was riddled with enough questions. Mostly centered on her hand and the weird glowing squiggles that were present on it. It wasn't natural, and one though actually expect it to her. But it didn't. It was just abnormally hot. Her other hand, however, was not fairing well with holding the ice javelin.
Now that she had been though this traumatizing experience (and it wasn't even finished), she would probably never look at snow and whiteness the same way ever again. Although she probably wouldn't have nightmares (or would she?), the snow and whiteness present was abnormal enough for her to be confused and question her sanity. This can't really be happening, can it? I'm just dreaming... a very realistic dream... She frowned, knitting her eyebrows together. Who am I kidding?! This is too real to be a dream. She could feel a trail of tears coming on... Not now, Joze... be strong. The tears were unexplained - not unlike the situation she was facing at the moment. Her mind still had not wrapped around the fact that she was going to have to relearn everything - that she needed to come to terms that the impossible was actually possible. But she couldn't... she just couldn't. If she had more time, more time to calculate and let herself get accustomed to the situation... But she didn't have time and she needed to adapt. Be flexible.
But it was much easier said than done. She slowed to a stop as the icy wind blew on her face, placing the icicle down on the ground. It was ever the more likely that it wasn't going to melt in this climate - it was much too cold. And she was a little out of breath. Not that the climate was giving her much help either. Joze put her hands on her knees. It wasn't effective, but conventional enough so that in a few minutes she should be able to regain her breath and be on her way. However, she never got the chance. Because when she squinted through the foggy area, she saw a figure. Coming towards her. Was it... running? Yes, it's legs were moving, so it was either running or walking, but at the pace that Joze was sure she was seeing, the figure was running. Towards her? Joze carefully backed away, wary. Was he or she potentially dangerous? But it got closer... and it looked like it was stumbling. Joze started to run towards the figure, ignoring the fact that it may very well be her enemy and that it could be acting for all she knew. Almost closing the gap between them, she saw the figure -a girl - fall to the ground. "No!"
Running with the last burst of speed, deserting her makeshift weapon altogether, towards the girl. The one with the long purple hair. "No no no no... not another one..." Joze was reminded of the man - what of him? "Hold on for me, okay, hold on for a bit more..." She looked at the girl, namely her legs. Both were still intact, but one looked bloody and blue. "What... what happened?!" Joze could feel the panic rising in her body, and a scream of terror clawing in her through, trying to force it's way out. "Don't close your eyes!" _________________________
