He didn't know that he could feel pain as the cold had numbed himself to the point that he felt strong. Apparently the cold had lied to him. The frost elemental stared in horror as the pillar of ice shattered into a million peices as it could clearly feel his pain. He could do nothing but watch as the storm started to die down. The small peices of ice that only moments ago had made the pillar drifted along the light winds. They seemed to catch the light from the moon as they glisended towards the horizon. It almost seemed that the frost elemental was giving up. He had watched the cie pillar shattered right in front of him and still continued to stand tehre as the searing pain was starting to burn his back. His eyes flashed a dark red for a moment, there was no way he was going to lose to a bunch of stupid humans. Although he could feel himself growing weaker by the second he knew he had to act fast if he had a shot and living. The storm and fog had dissipated by this point which left the frost elemental looking at two humans, one passed out on the ground and the other... He gasped slightly. There was no freakin way in hell! JOZE HAS TRIGGERED AN EVENT The rune upon her hand starts to glow a soft blue, upon looking at it a fine coating of water on it from the icicle. If you wish she has the option to use her power of healing. Posting order does not change. The Frost elemental scowled as he saw the glwing rune on the girls hand. He could reconize that mark anywhere, she was teh water heir. The frost elemental lost all force to attac the humans. The human on his back was still causing him much pain for some unknown reason. HE had to reach the water Heir. It was his only chance for redemtion. He slowly approached the water heir and bend down on one knee in fron tof the human. He bowed his head slightly in a sign of respect. He never would have dreamed of meeting the water heir. The cold all of a sudden didn't seem so comforting, if anything the heat that the human on his back was causing was welcome. The cold had manipualted him. He just wanted to meet the water heir. A rune similar to Joze's appears on the elementals forhead, it too is pulsating with a dull blue light. |

One minute it is reeling back in pain (clearly Kate's attack had some effect), and the next, it appeared subdued. The storm had died down significantly - the surrounding area was no longer a vast sea of white. Despite her poor vantage point, Audrey was actually able to look up into the dark sky and notice the dimly shining stars. The ground below her had returned to its usual concrete state and she was no longer being harassed by snow.
The ice-man (which is what Audrey was certain their attacker was. Not that the storm had dissipated she was positive that she was a human body beneath the ice crystals) began walking slowly and almost hesitantly to an unknown destination. Curious, Audrey scampered up higher onto his back and practically perched herself atop his shoulder. Her legs dangled down off his shoulder and her arms still wrapped tightly around his neck, but her blue eyes could now clearly observe what was happening around them.
Audrey spotted her immediately - the person the man was walking toward. She was a petite little thing with bright blonde hair and her arms was outstretched. This had to be the stranger, the third person in this puzzle. Audrey squinted her eyes to get a better look at the girl but this action wasn't necessary. Stopping only a few feet from the brave girl, Audrey noticed the most peculiar symbol on the girl's hand. It was a blue rune that appeared to be... glowing? Despite the fact that the girl looked far to young to have any sort of tattoo, Audrey believed it. They did live in New York City after all and stranger things had happened. What Audrey didn't believe was the light emanating from the tattoo.
"Shit." Audrey cursed under her breath. Believing that her fever was worsening to the point where she was hallucinating, Audrey was scared. More scared then she had been running into the snow storm looking for the beast.
Praying that this would be over soon and she and the stranger by the car could escape to the hospital quickly, Audrey yelled below her (to both Katie and the blonde girl), "What ever you do, don't kill it! There's a person in there!"
Hopefully, they believed her. Insane or not, Audrey knew that she wouldn't be able to live with herself if an innocent life was lost. How the man had been entrapped in the ice in the first place was still a mystery, but Audrey was certain that no sane being would want to transform themselves into... that. Though Audrey could not feel the cold surface of the man beneath her, she knew that there was no way he could be comfortable.

Her whole leg was completely numb in a matter of a couple minutes. Katie didn't really know how much time had truly passed as her head was pounding to a point where she wished the numbing cold would just reach her head. As time went onward Katie felt more and more lost, starting to lose some of her vision so it was blurry, her hearing was muffled at best and she had the urge to sleep. She could tell someone was talking to her but she ignored them. Her head was hurting a lot and the cold was so comforting.
She could make out a soft blue glow, she sighed softly. It was official, she was going crazy. Katie couldn't help but try to analyze what the hell was happening to her. She knew her train of though was painfully slow compared to normal but she had to try anyway. There was something special about the ice since last time Katie checked ice didn't freeze people to death from one slight brush. She could kind of hear Audrey's voice but she couldn't really tell what she was saying as she was too focused on thinking. Audrey could handle herself, she was a tough girl.
The other girl! That was what Katie was missing. She was trying to warn her or something, she couldn't quite remember. Actually, Katie was having trouble doing anything but lie on the concrete. She was pretty sure her whole lower body was numb but she couldn't really be sure. Maybe Katie had been wrong about killing the thing. What if the thing was just cold like Katie. Maybe they had to get the ice off of the thing. Katie smiled slightly even though it took her a moment to muster up the energy to do so. They had to take the ice off of it somehow. Katie figured that she would have figured that out in a couple moments when she was clearly out of her mindset as she continued to bask in the soft blue light. She had no idea what it was as she kept her eyes closed in a blissfully ignorant way. She would rather not see her own death coming.
WHAT WAS WRONG WITH HER! Katie couldn't believe she had just said she was going to die and not be freaking out. She had to get this stupid cold off of her or she would be the ice mans new boy friend. She shivered slightly. She knew it wasn't from the cold this time. INDIFFERENCE OR B. DISINTEREST IN WHAT THE CRITICS SAY. IT'S TIME FOR US TO TAKE A CHANCE IT'S TIME FOR US. WELL WE'RE JUST A WET DREAM FOR A WEBZINE MAKE US IT MAKE US HIP MAKE US SCENE | [atrb=padding-top: 20px;] The ice cold feeling of panic gripped Joze - was some really just about to die right in front of her eyes? Perhaps she was being too melodramatic, perhaps it was just her overreacting again. But the impending feeling of, well, panic was enough to rouse the girl's heart and the thump thump thump of it was heard loud and clear, quick and upbeat. It was so loud, so fast, that she swore that the girl would be able to hear it. She'd be deaf if she can't hear it... She tried anything to try to calm herself down. Try to make it so that she could think clearer, get a hold of the situation and maybe help the poor girl, who looked ice cold. Tentatively, she reached out to touch her leg. Icy. Cold. Frozen, almost. What the heck...? Joze's eyebrows were knitted in frustration. Was this how the man died? Can we save her? But Joze's sense of justice was kicking in, and she was trying to huddle the leg (which looked and felt weird, but when someone's life was in danger who really cared?) and gather as much body heat she could. Of course, as soon as her chest hit the leg Joze was fighting hard to keep there and not pull away. The leg... it felt like it was frozen solid. But that was impossible, it couldn't be frozen solid! Or could it?
"Wh-what? D-damn it!" Her teeth were chattering as the cold was finally reaching her, registering in her brain and spreading throughout her system. And the worse part was, her body heat didn't seem to be helping the purple-haired girl at all. Was it this futile, this whole ordeal going on with no avail? Joze was trying her best to find a bright side to this, another solution, to think positively and not let negativity faze her. But despite the demeanor she was trying to put on, it was hard. It was very much hard, and difficult, and Joze hated to admit this, but impossible. She was defeated. There was nothing she could do but keep hugging the leg - and hope that some miracle would appear, and take advantage of it before it was too late. Her heart was still pounding, she was still breaking out in a cold sweat. All the adrenaline pumping through her veins should be helpful, at least she wouldn't die of the cold herself.
"H-huh?!" Her arms were wrapped around the leg, but even she could see the dull blue glow from her hand. Not again! Honestly, Joze had enough of this, she was ready to go home, forget about this whole incident and have a good night's sleep. And hopefully wake up and figure that this was all the dream. Albeit, a realistic dream, but a dream nonetheless. She was going to wake up and find that it was all fake, a product of her imagination. An imagination gone wild, that is. But deep down she knew that it wasn't true. Even her imagination couldn't come up with something this shocking, this scary, this surprising. Three S's. But it was true, it had to be real. It couldn't NOT be real. Her hand was pulsating. And it was wet (probably from the melting icicle, but she couldn't help but make herself process the information anyways). What was happening? First a few minutes ago, and now it was happening to her hand. What was happening to her? Joze was scared, more scared. How was she supposed to deal with this?! There was no instruction manual, it was doubtful that anyone else had dealt with this. At least, no one here at this fateful site.
Another look at the leg made certain that it was probably numb from the cold. "Oh... how did this happen to you?" She was closing her eyes! "Keep them open, please!" Joze fought the urge to shake the girl's shoulders. She stared down at the leg. Finally letting it go from her chest (which was feeling a little more than cold now), Joze ran her fingers across it. What more could she do?
She took a deep breath. Calm down, Joze. You'll figure this out. Could she? Could she really? Worry and panic were not good - she wanted out. Why did she have to be here, why did she have to end up here? Scowling at herself, she felt the storm let up. The fog cleared. The sky was clear - and so was everything around her. What a nice change - but she hadn't any time to dwaddle. Her mouth was figuratively hanging wide open at the sight that held her eyes. There was the attacker (which Joze saw for the first time and was shocked to see that he did resemble a human), and was that another girl hanging onto his back? And then the both of them came toward her. Upon closer examination it seemed that it was only the icy figure, the attacker, that was coming towards them, and the dark-skinned girl hanging along for the ride. She couldn't back away now with the other purple haired girl's leg freezing off. But she was scared. What would he or she do to her while it still had energy left?
It seemed that the winning answer was go down on one knee and bow down to her. Or maybe it was to the other girl. His head, bowing. She was staring quizzically at it. What did it want? She thought to voice her question. "What do you want from us?!" _______________________

The water on her hands slowly starts to wrap around Katie's leg in interesting patterns, the glow starts to dim very slowly as the water continues to intwine around her leg. Once the glow is gone the water slides off of Katie's leg clearly no longer under Joze's influence. It is rather clear that Katie has been healed as her leg is a normal colour and no longer is in freezing temperatures.
Feel free to use Joze's ability to heal in your posts if fate says it is okay. This may change if Joze is awakened.
AUDREY HAS TRIGGERED SOMETHING. The heat radiating off of Audrey's body is clearly warming up the elemental as Audrey is resting on the back of a person. The whole elemental is still encased in ice but where ever Audrey has touched has melted away to the point where she has exposed the human underneath the elemental. The elemental seems incoherent and still kneels on it's knees in front of Joze but it is clearly oblivious to what is happening to it. The elemental is slowly melting away, because of this the elemental will die within the next two fate posts.

Everything about this situation defied what she believed and what science had deemed to be possible… yet here they were. Three complete strangers battling the immbomitable snow man. Er, at least were. The stranger with the glowing tattoo rushed out of Audrey’s sight to probably Katie, who was somewhere behind the beast. Curious and concerned, she turned her body around to be able to see what the two younger girls were up to, and Audrey’s eyebrows shot up at what she was witnessing.
The bright blue colour of the tattoo was absolutely and positively radiating from the blonde girl, as if calling or reaching out to Katie who lay on the floor. Unsure of what to make of the scene due to her awkward vantage point, Audrey tried not to concern herself with the on-goings too much. As far as Audrey could tell, everything at least appeared to be under control. The two other girls were together – and there was safety in numbers – and the man-beast had definitely subdued.
Still angled to keep an eye on the two youngins’, Audrey noticed for the first time, how much softer her ‘seat’ had become. No longer feeling as if she was perched on the top of an iceberg, Audrey realized that indeed, she was no longer sitting on the frozen substance. Tearing her eyes away from the scene before her, Audrey’s eyes went wide in shock but she was able to suppress the gasp that was in her throat. She was sitting on a man’s broad shoulder. No longer concealed within the chrysalis, Audrey was shocked to be staring at his exposed shoulder… it was as if the ice simply melted away, but just from that localized spot where she was sitting.
An idea popped into her head while she examined the bare flesh. It was a pretty daft idea, but they had seemed to work decently so far. Burning with anticipation (and probably a high fever), Audrey slowly yet nimbly scampered along the man’s shoulders, making sure that she remained in contact with him. As she continued on her little trek to reach his neck, Audrey couldn’t help but feel the ice shifting beneath her weight – or maybe she was just hallucinating. Regardless, she continued forward until she reached his collar bone. Holding her breath, Audrey maneuvered herself so she was practically hanging off the man’s neck. Closing her eyes and now honestly questioning her own sanity, she leaned forward and forcefully pressed her lips against the man’s icy forehead. Was the action tacky? Very much so and Audrey was sure going to kick herself for it in the morning when she woke up in a hospital bed, though corny manuvers like that always seemed to work in the movies.

It was already pounding slightly buit it was getting worse by the second. She guessed the fact that she was going to die reletively soon only added to her bodies stress. Katie tried not to think of the creepiung coldness but couldn't help but try and feel her leg once more. The more she tried the worse it got as she was pretty sure she was going to lose her leg any second now. She knew she was being hysterical but she was rather proud of herself as she wasn't really making a scene. She was pretty sure the ice monster was killing her new found friends but she couldn't really tell. She was sure Audrey was kicking his ass while the other girl was doing the same.
Katie smiled slightly but she wasn't really sure of what was going on around her but she could feel the coldness startign to leave her body. It was the wierdest thing as one moment she was pretty sure she was going to die while the next she was actually feeling amazing. It happened out of the blue really but she could have sworn she saw some kind of blue light, she figured she was imagining some kind of light like she was dying. She was just waiting to be told to come towards the light but it faded after a couple moments. Katie's headache was gone which was wierd as she could actually think straight. She wiggled her toes through her shoes and smiled as she could feel them, she gasped slightly. She could actually feel her toes!
As she thought about it she noticed she could actually feel nher leg once more. She instantly jumped up on her feet to see some girl rather close to her. Katie couldn't really explain what just happened but she was sure this new girl had saved her life. Her blonde hair made Katie smile as she seemed to be rather young. Katie didn't think as she flung herself at the girl in a huge hug. "Thank you so much! I'm Katie, nice to meet you, and the other women is Audrey." She knew the timing wasn't the best but the ice monster thing might still kill them. She glanced at the snow beast and noticed the melting ice. Audrey was clinging to the thing with determination as Katie gawked at what she was seeing. It was human!
Katie stood up slowly, there was no way Audrey was normal, Katie knew how cold that ice was. For her to melt it she would have to be... Katie cut off her train of thought, it didn't matter right now. Right now Katie had tot ry and help somehow. She reached by her feet and picked up a small stone. She tossed it at the beast and frowned. It looked rather far gone since the last time she saw it. She knew it wouldn't last much longer.

WELL WE'RE JUST A WET DREAM FOR A WEBZINE MAKE US IT MAKE US HIP MAKE US SCENE | [atrb=padding-top: 20px;] What on earth... what on earth was her hand doing to her?! No, what was it doing on her own. It was foreign to her - uninvited. But there, permanent. There was really nothing she can do to get rid of it, but she didn't try. Although, it looked like it had been there for the whole of her life and she wasn't going to bother with trying to get it off. She'd probably hide it (in such a conspicuous area too - how was she ever going to write in public?), to avoid probing questions from friends, and even strangers if they were bold enough to walk up to her and ask. Although they'd probably get a fist full of rage from Joze. Not that she could hit that hard, but there was always the stunning point that she actually did that which would buy her time to escape from that, awkward question. Besides, they didn't need to know, and they should mind their own business. However something was off. Her hand was different from just a few moments ago - she swore it! Although she hadn't been paying very much attention to it seeing as there was a very injured girl that looked to be on her death bed right in front of her, it changed, she was almost positive now. It wasn't even subtle too, but subtle enough to throw her off for a moment and cast a shadow of doubt in her mind. Looking at it again she was positive that her eyes were not fooling her and just a second ago it was very much dimmer than it was now. How that was possible she wasn't sure as Joze had thought it already was bright enough. Any brighter than it was right now would be blinding.
Fortunately she was saved from such a fate. The glowing hand, no, her glowing hand was just bright, light, but not blinding. Thank goodness. But there was still something wrong besides how incredibly bright it was. Not the intensity of her glowing squiggles, but the fact that the liquid, the water on her hands, was wrapping itself around the purple-haired girl's leg. "Oh.. oh my gosh!" The water wrapped around her leg was forming an incomprehensible pattern, at Joze's end at least. What the heck is happening? It took her a second to realize that it was herself doing it, her hand lightly in contact with the leg. Not to mention her glowing (but not as brightly) hand was the source of this. Probably. But it took her an even longer second to realize that it might not be good thing, that it might actually be hurting the girl. In a panicked moment she withdrew her hand, but it seemed to be too late. Her hand had stopped glowing, which was a little surprising, but she was more worried about what happened – or what might have happened – due to her account. Hopefully nothing serious occurred, but she had to be sure. So she touched the leg. Call it what you will, probed, poked, whatever, but she was genuinely worried for the girl. What if something happened? But the confusing part was, when she touched, poked, probed the leg, it was actually soft, in clear contrast with what it had been just seconds ago. Did I do that? No, that’s not possible! I should not be able to do that!
But the evidence was clear in her head, very apparent and very clear. Her eyes could not be deceiving her, they simply could not! Her touch, her hand couldn’t be either. But it was clear to her head that she had indeed been healed. She was healed! By Joze. The thought lurked in her head and she fought to shake it off. How could it be? This was impossible, literally impossible by what mankind and science had proclaimed. First the monster – the ice monster that threw huge icicles at them, and then her glowing hand and the fact she had been healed. And now? She was healing people. Technically it was just one person, but the fact was still there – she had healed. Why was this? What was this? Why her? She was just a normal girl in a normal household with normal thoughts and was beyond normal. There was nothing special about her. She didn’t want to be special. But here she was healing someone’s frozen leg and moaning over it. She should be glad that this person was alive and not in anymore danger.
However, the plan sort of backfired. Instead of resting like she should, given the circumstances, the girl sat up. “Wait – lie down… I don’t know if you’re in stable condition yet!” Yes, Joze had watched her share of medical dramas, or enough crime scene dramas to say this, but she was concerned. It couldn’t be good to immediately sit up – especially if they were feeling suddenly healthy. Although she shouldn’t be a hypocrite, just minutes ago the same had happened to her. But look where it got her! She was omitting weird mysterious powers, and it was completely foreign to her. Albeit, it was probably a good thing that she gained the power to ‘heal’, and for the better as well. Joze was a bit wary, though. What if the same didn’t happen to the purple haired girl? Honestly, if she was healed, great, but shouldn’t she have given a little more time before acting rashly… like suddenly getting up? It couldn’t be good for her, really, even if she felt better. Especially when the person who healed her was in complete hysteria and freaking out.
But she didn’t make an attempt to stop her for some reason – just sat there mumbling reasons why she shouldn’t be taking action. The girl introduced herself as Katie – and introduced the other girl as Audrey. “I’m Joze… it’s nice to meet you too but this isn’t really the best time to chat.” It was a little awkward for the girl was hugging her – as sudden was it was. But Joze shouldn’t be judging, after all she had basically just maybe healed her frozen leg. She probably would have done the same had their positions be reversed.
“But for now… I think we might need to do something about that ice monster, if Audrey isn’t doing anything right now.” To be honest, Joze was still disbelieving her eyes about it. _______________________

He feebly rose a hand to protest but it fell limply to his side in defeat. The reaction was instant as the once strong ice monster was reduced to almost nothing in a matter of seconds. The ice melted away from his body revealing a human underneath, it didn't take long for there to only be a huge puddle surrounding the curled up body of a man. The storm has subsided altogether and the fog cleared. All that was left was the man and the puddle.
The crashed car could easily be seen not far away with the frozen man now perfectly fine. Feel free to start another thread to discuss what happened but this thread is now over. Check the event tracker for more details but such a great event! Great job, thank goodness the numbers were in your favor.
