Good news; that means that it would be all but sunny for the rest of the day. It was early morning but not too early however the students of New York University would all but be getting up by now especially since class started at around nine-thirty. The above statements are all but true except for one man more like a boy in nature though; Phi Ceryx. An interesting fellow indeed. Well if you can call a shy and generous boy interesting then this bloke was the man.
Getting out of his bed at eleven was not idle for a scholar-in-training however Phi had no classes today which was rather cool considering that he could focus on starting his book. The idea was based off him or so he thought originally, after running through some plot charts and brain storms Phi was not even near the perfect hero. He was not as good looking and strong as others and it reflected in what he had doted down. He had no title, no story except for the fact he wanted to write a story on how the world sees heroes and heroines. He had decided to make his way to the library where he would be able to do a little research before he would begin drafting the prologue.
The trip was all but dull; he spoke to only a few people on his way to the University’s library however he had thought of some ideas for the book that he would like to run so he had made haste to the library, checked in and grabbed all fiction books he could and began to read through them. He could of possibly been considered dead as he just sat there reading and every so often he would turn the page; he was focused.
DATE ; August 8th. TIME ; 11:45am. WEATHER ; A nice and clear day although it has been forcasted to become cloudy with a slight chance of rain.

Okay, so Audrey knew that most of New York City was not like her parent's uptown neighbourhood, but she couldn't help but dread her returning to her hometown.
At the age of twenty, the young woman was proud to say that she no longer lived with her parents. She lived (fairly) happily in a decent house with couple roommates back in New Jersey. Audrey would have been more then happy to make it her full time residence but for some reason, her parents always insisted that she return home during the holidays. Quite a silly sentiment considering how much of these holidays was actually spent with her parents, but Audrey humoured them none-the-less.
With her school year being finished in April and knowing that she would be unable to stand living under the same roof as her parents for practically four months, they had been able to strike a compromise; Audrey's being in New York for July and August and this lovely August the eighth marked the halfway point for her trip. Only four weeks left to go and Audrey could hardly wait.
Today, as per usual, both her parents were MIA, so Audrey decided to go for a little gander. Dressed in old, faded jeans and a white men's dress shirt with a brown belt around her waist, accenting her figure, Audrey was off. She hopped into her little red Beetle and sped off in the opposite direction of the sun - west.
Not really having much of a plan other than to spend the day out, she contemplated spending some time and her quaint and beloved park in the west end. She was seriously considering simply spending the day there, under her oak tree, curled up with a book.... but on her way to her destination, something caught her eye. It was a beautiful and large building with a single purple flag hanging from the front - NYU's library. Shrugging her slim shoulders, Audrey made a quick decision and a sharp right hand turn into the library's parking lot.
Okay, so she wasn't an NYU student, so she couldn't actually borrow anything, but it wouldn't hurt to have a browse around, right?

Everything was going to plan, the perfect story was going to be written soon and the tension he was feeling was something only he could feel as no one would be feeling the exact same thing right now. Not to mention no one knew what he was doing, all they could see was Phi sitting in the back right corner of the library behind a mountain of different books. Hard cases, comics and even newspapers from different countries all were piled up and just barricading the man inside.
After a few minutes of just staring blank at his notepad he smiled as he started to do a very rough (he can't draw) sketch of what he wanted the main hero to look like. The problem was that this hero kept changing each sketch and that was when he had got it! No hero was the same, everyone looked at the hero in different ways; he remembered a book he got read once. 'The Hero of Thousand Faces' he believed it was called, every one saw the hero in a different way so this was basically the same. What a perfect idea!~
With a jolt of excitement running through he had lifted his knee and of cause being the clumsy fool he was Phi had knocked the table and it violently shook for a second and the mountain crumbled causing a mass flux of paper to go every where (especially his work). A large thud was caused as the books hit the ground, Phi sat there in awe but soon snapped out of it as he begain to try and pick up the books but more importantly to try and find his work; he started to tear up so he turned his head away hoping no one to see it.[/style][style=margin-top: 3px; border-top: 1px dashed blue; text-align: center; font-size: 8px]made by gimmick/echo of OtE and TB[/style] |

As per usual, it was quiet in the NYU student library save for the soft whispers and murmmers made by those who actually came to the library to study. As per not usual, there was no faint clicking made by Audrey's steps as she walked for today she wore sensible-yet-chic black ballet flats. Used to wearing heels, it took a moments for Audrey to become accustomed to the silence as she walked though it was only the sound that was missing from the look for she still carried herself with grace and confidence as she strode through the library.
Passing a few study tables as she made her way to the futhermost section of the library, Audrey's bright blue eyes fell upon a single table in particular and the lone man who was sitting at it.
With long black hair that had such sheen even Audrey was envious, the fair-skinned man instantly caught her attention. She did not regognize him nor did he even seem vaugly familiar -abeit, she couldn't see his face due to his being extremely engrossed in his work - but she was drawn to him none the less. Maybe it was the way his silky hair hung behind his shoulders or the amount of determination and passion he had deticated to his project. Whatever it was, Audrey's pace slowed ever so slightly as she waltzed past him.
The stranger was just in her pheripheral vision when she the mounds of paper and books he had schreqn about go flying through the air and land with a considerable 'thump'. Almost instantly the man hopped from his seat and scurried to the ground, frantically scrambling to pick up his numerous papers.
Midstep Audrey stopped. If it had been anyone else, Audrey probably would have kept walking, after all, that wasn't her problem. But she felt sympathy for the man; she's been in that awkward and awful position before and it completely and utterly sucked. Adjusting her course, Audrey turned abrumpty on her heel and backtracked a couple steps.
"Need a hand?" She offered polietly enough, standing next to him. If he accepted in invitation, Audrey would gladly get on her hands and needs to help collect the scattered works, but if not, she did not want to make assumption and make the man any more uncomfortable then he probably was.

If one were to describe Phi's embarrassed look it would look like that of that internet viral sensation, the nyan cat. Phi's cheeks went a bright red and he looked down at the ground. Did he need a hand? Well he could have like six yet still he wouldn't know how to use them, so he thought that someone offering to help was rather good. “Ye-Yes ple-please!” He exclaimed, being around this female made him nervous; as to why though? Was anyone's question.
Gathering more and more books up he still couldn't find his papers with the information he had dotted down. The paper would be a little crinkled and with the title, 'Journey to the Center of the Universe'. A rather odd title considering the story had nothing to do with the universe but heroes however there was meaning to the title and that was something no one would be able to find out. Looking down still as he twiddled with his hands he smiled and said, “Thank you for helping miss. I am Phi, it is a pleasure to meet you.” Oddly enough Phi did not like giving his last name out for reasons only few knew. Maybe people were looking for him? Or even held a grudge against him so to avoid conflict he tried to tell people only his first name and if they were to ask his last name Phi would just say that he does not know them well enough to tell such a thing. He continued searching and searching as the books were starting to be placed back on the desk by him and the area was getting tider.[/style][style=margin-top: 3px; border-top: 1px dashed blue; text-align: center; font-size: 8px]made by gimmick/echo of OtE and TB[/style] |

He had seemed to have a soft fair face - a kind face - characterized with sharp defined features. His high cheekbones and captivating violet eyes gave him a distinguished air, his long, silky hair only adding to the look. With his bright and understanding eyes, lean frame and tied back hair, the man before her reminded Audrey of Legolas from Lord of the Rings. Okay, so she had to admit - he was cute.
Seeming to take a moment to process Audrey's question, he stammered his reply slightly though seemed relieved to have been offered the help. A heartbeat later, Audrey was on all fours carefully scooping, gathering and clumping the papers, books and various writing utensils that had been scattered across the library's carpeted floor.
Between Audrey and the man, the two had collected his belongings in no time and soon found themselves kneeling next to one another. The stranger began to twiddle his thumbs - either out of boredom or timidness, Audrey was unsure - and a small smile began to tug at the corner of his lips, making his entire face light up.
Yup. Definitely my real life Legolas... minus the fact that he's not blonde.
As Audrey's mind went for a little visit to Middle Earth, she bounced back up to her feet to resume a more vertical stance. Returning his smile with one of her own, she nodded her head slightly in acknowledgement. About to turn and continue on her little mission, the stranger introduced himself then and saved Audrey from experiencing a rather awkward situation.
"Audrey." She returned the introduction, the smile not wavering off her face, "Nice to meet you Phi."
Legolas, she corrected in her head.
"Got everything?" Audrey asked as she eyed the rather large and daunting pile of paperwork that both Phi and herself held in her hands. She was honestly amazed that he had been able to find everything and seem to keep track of it so easily.
As she stood facing Phi she couldn't help but notice her unusual helpfulness. Audrey wasn't cold hearted or anything but technically speaking her task was done and there was no need of her assisting him any further... but why had she asked?
Laughing inwardly, Audrey immediately knew the answer. His reminding Audrey of one of her favourite characters of fiction definitely had something to do with it. The young woman would have been significantly less inclined to lead a hand if he hadn't been so captivating, regal and of course, attractive. She had a schoolgirl crush on the elven hero - what more was there to say? She shook her head slightly at the silliness of it as her sapphire eyes sparkled in faint amusement.

After the books and papers had been placed back on the table and the floors were cleaned up Phi had stood up with the girl. Being a tad taller then her he gave her a awkward smile as he examined her. Her soft voice brang peace to his mind for a few seconds as she asked if there was something else. At the time Phi thought they had gotten everything and found his story drawings however after a moments relapse he jumped up and entered his panic mode again.
“Did you happen to see a bunch of papers that had Journey to the Center of the Universe on them? They are singly the most importantly part of everything that is here for me.” He started to look for them again getting on all fours and looking under the table; nothing. He next looked around Audery and found nothing however as he circled her he got up and stumbled backwards which would of meant he could of possibly knocked her! As she looked into his pale, violet eyes, she couldn't help but notice the nervousness and timidness he held in his gaze. Curiosity coursed through her then - what was there to be scared of or worried about?
Still smiling, it hit her like a ton of bricks; this wasn't unusual. Audrey laughed inwardly at the irony. One of the few times she didn't wish to be unnerving...
Hoping to somehow put him at ease, she followed his lead and placed the papers in her hands next to his pile on the small study table. Admittedly, the table looked far less organized then it had been when she first walked in, both Phi and his work emanated a scholarly air. Audrey then wondered if he was still in school. He appeared to be about her age and was at the New York U student library... Audrey made a mental note to ask about it later - she didn't want to scare him away.
Phi asked her is she had seen any papers titled 'Journey to the Center of the Universe'. Her eyebrows furrowed together. She was acquainted with the novel but hadn't stumbled across anything - book, paper or otherwise - that bore the name of the story.
As he asked the question, he began his own frantic search. He looked around the table, behind himself, around Audrey... but to no avail. Clearly fretting, he began pacing and walking as he searched. Now encircling her, Audrey felt sorry for him. That paper clearly meant alot to the man but it was clearly not in sight. Before she had a chance to open her mouth and speak, she saw Phi stumble backward.
Phi began falling to the ground, his long legs coming out from under him and arms helplessly flailing to the side. Due to their close proximity, Phi accidentally knocked her as he continued his descent and Audrey stumbled forward. Thankfully, she wasn't in heels or all hope would have been lost. Her arms darted out to the side in hopes of regaining her balance as she wobbled in place.
But it was no use. Taking a small step forward should have secured her remaining upright but instead she continued to stumble forward. Having tripped on a small lump on the carpet, she fell forward and went tumbling downward after Phi.

In attempt to soften her land Phi had stretched out and opened his arms accepting her into the body so he would break her fall. It was only a matter of seconds before the girl has came crashing on him, hopefully she was alright as this was Phi's fault and he had already started to feel bad for causing it. Catching her slim body in his arms was a rather flustering experiential for him and most likely the girl too. Phi had to make a comment, a rather funny but sarcastic one at the same which would hopefully break the awkwardness of the landing. His cheeks turned a little red and he had a little chuckle as he said; “Oh you don't need to take advantage of me like this.” Phi chuckled again quickly to follow his self-thought funny statement with, “You haven't even taken me out to dinner.” Phi was full red though as he just couldn't help it but laugh at the fact that they were in.
Looking to the left under the desk, in the darkest corner he had found what the whole search was about. Those two pieces of scrap paper that would lead him to his dreams coming true. Reaching out under the table he had grabbed the paper and pulled it towards him, sighing with relief he smiled and said brightly, “I found it, I found it! Thank you! Thank you.” Lifting the girl up he placed the princess on her feet as if he was a brave knight. Getting up and jumping up a bit in excitement he took Audery by the hips and started to move around in a odd fashion, a dance; a rather formal one known as the waltz. Here he was slowly moving with Audery in the waltz when he snapped out of it and put her back down, bowing and then saying “Sorry.” He held the papers now on him at all times.[/style][style=margin-top: 3px; border-top: 1px dashed blue; text-align: center; font-size: 8px]made by gimmick/echo of OtE and TB[/style] |

She was going to fall flat on her face regardless and had come to terms with that fact. Besides, it could have been worse... and it's not like she was actually a student at NYU anyway, so she would walk away from this little accident unscathed. With her blue eyes fixated on the ground that was fast approaching, she noticed Phi suddenly pop into her field of vision.
Phi had rolled over ever so slightly and opened his arms to catch her - er, at least cushion her fall considering she was on her way down to join him. Thanks to Phi, her body did not crash down with the anticipated 'thud'. Instead, Phi's arms wrapped around and seemed to effortlessly catch Audrey's body and he carefully lowered her to the ground. On top of him.
Her long white hair draped around her face and her blue eyes sparkled in amusement as she saw his face immediately flush in colour. Okay, so this was a little awkward but Audrey just shrugged it off. Apparently Phi tried to move on, too, for he quickly chuckled and teased her for taking advantage of him.
Audrey laughed, a sincere, whole-hearted sound as she stared down at the young man who was lying under her. Apparently he wanted her to take him out to dinner before they got this physical. She knew that he was kidding and by this point Phi was practically red as a tomato. Smirking, Audrey finally rolled off Phi, being careful not to brush up against him - there really was no need in making this any more uncomfortable for either of them. But awkward or not, Audrey had to admit that she did find it funny.
"Don't worry, Phi. I have to much respect for you to let us happen like this." Audrey teased back at Phi, lying on her back next to him and giving him a sidelong glance.
She noticed his head turned for a moment and she could only guess what he was looking for - that paper. For a few moments she just watched him, his head moving against the ground as he searched at this lower vantage point. A heartbeat later, she saw his hand shoot out. With a sigh, he clutched a paper - the paper - in his hands before turning back to Audrey. Smiling like the Cheshire Cat, Phi began thanking her profusely.
Words began forming on Audrey's lips but before she had a chance to speak, Phi leaps to his feet and without a word lifted Audrey up with poise and grace. This was the second time that Phi had held her body like it was second nature and Audrey was beginning to wonder how many women he had swept off their feet, so to speak. Phi was definitely Audrey's Legolas, through and through.
Again, Audrey was about to make a reply but the words got caught in her throat as Phi placed both hands on her hips. He began swaying and moving and Audrey really had no choice but to follow his lead. For the first time in her life she was thankful for something her parents had done: dance classes. Thankfully Audrey was able to recognize the waltz and quickly fall into sync with Phi's perfectly timed movements. Apparently he had some dance training, too.
Smiling in both amusement and admiration, Audrey danced gleefully. The paper obviously meant a lot to the young man and this dancing was just such an honest, happy reaction, Audrey couldn't help but feel his joy too. Phi was such a breath of fresh air for Audrey, she would have been more than happy to dance for as long as he pleased. Though their dance was cut short abruptly as Phi seemed to snap back into reality and realize what was happened.
Rather awkwardly and formally, his hands fell from her hips and Audrey could see the slightest tint of pink stain his cheeks. Cordially, he did a slight a slight bow before apologizing, his black silky hair looking especially glossy. Honestly, he could have been on a shampoo commercial.
Shaking her head in amusement, Audrey chuckled. Though having only met mere moments ago she was almost certain that Phi was a gentleman, through and through. He was kind, gentle, shy and polite... and fresh off the set of Lord of the Rings. Phi had captivated Audrey to say the least, and she definitely didn't want him to slip from her grasp.
"Really, it's fine. Don't apologize." She said calmly, her tone sincere, "I'm glad that you found what you were looking for." Though she had composed herself and had moved past her earlier giddy outbursts, Audrey's eyes shone with pleasure and amusement.

Something just enticed him to her. Her hair, skin he didn't know however all he did know was that he had lost all embarrassment and just thought she was like anyone else he knew. Maybe it was because she was so nice to help, maybe not but what ever it was he just felt more relaxed around the girl now.
Packing his things up which consisted of him going back and forth between a table and the book trolly he had returned all books. Standing next to Audery he said quietly, "Would you like some coffee?"
Ahhh, coffee what a wonderful drink. The sweet smell of coffee was Phi's friend and the taste of it was his love. Coffee had saved him many times when he needed to stay up and write a paper or study. Coffee was just there for him to keep him awake and with the schools cafe making some of the best in New York no wonder it was such a social area for students and teachers alike.
Walking through the library doors he lead Audery to the cafe where on the way he noticed clouds had started to crawl over; the weatherman was finally right for once he had thought. Making his way to the doors he said hi to a few people along the way and when he reached the entrance to the cafe he opened the door and said Audery, "We are here!" Coffee filled the air and Phi just stood there like a statue smelling the coffe before losing trance and focusing on what was happening.[/style][style=margin-top: 3px; border-top: 1px dashed blue; text-align: center; font-size: 8px]made by gimmick/echo of OtE and TB[/style] |

Was it possible that he felt as comfortable as she did? Relief washed through Audrey at that thought. Maybe this is what 'they' meant when 'they' said two people clicked. Shrugging her slim shoulders, Audrey just continued smiling; there was no need to meddle with something that worked, even if it seemed beyond belief.
Though no longer embarrassed or self-concious, Phi continued to be humble and polite, still thanking Audrey for helping him find his lost paper, "Well, maybe you should trip me more often." She joked lightheartedly.
After her teasing remark Phi took a couple seconds to gather his things, making quite a few trips back and forth between a trolly and the desk. Audrey raised a curious eyebrow and couldn't help but wonder if he was this dedicated and meticulous when dealing with all his projects. The little voice in the back of her mind yelped 'yes' and she smirked. Dedicated and hardworking - no wonder the two seemed to hit it off.
Phi came and stood beside her then, tearing Audrey away from her thoughts. Now that he had everything assembled and organized, he returned to her side. Smiling warmly, Phi spoke to her in the softest and gentlest manner, asking her to go out for coffee.
As if on cue, Audrey could smell aroma of roasted coffee beans flood her nostrils. Despite being more of a green tea drinker, Audrey did love the smell of fresh coffee, especially first thing in the morning. It smelt so warm and inviting, too bad for Audrey she had to put at least four sugars in the blasted stuff to make the bitter drink bearable.
Giving a silent reply, Audrey nodded her head up and down vigorously as she smiled in delight. Gleefully, she followed Phi down the hall and across campus into the quaint coffee shop. Audrey was quite taken by it all - having never really spent time on NYU campus she found it surprisingly, well, green. She was amazed to see all of the trees and flower beds that they had crossed on their trek. She also took note at the number of greetings that her fair friend had received. Shyness and timidness aside, Phi appeared to have quite a few friends.
Once the duo had passed through the wooden doors, Phi exclaimed the obvious. They were here.
Duh. Audrey laughed inwardly as she decided to stand beside Phi, no longer following him like a lost puppy.
"Sooo, tea or coffee?" Audrey asked rather casually as she let her eyes roam around the little shop.

Phi liked a variety of balance between coffee and tea and today was a coffee today so when she offered and asked which he would want Phi said “A coffee with two sugars please Audery.” He made his way while the noticeable girl made her way to get the beverages. Sitting down in a free booth just down to the right of the room he took a seat and with a gentle plop he had made his way onto the red leather seating. The table was made out of a mahogany wood. He looked around the room and he could see many different people doing many different things. Some studied even though Phi thought that was one of the worse ideas to do; like seriously! Studying in a large social complex, good logic in that! Another thing people were doing or more the 'nerds' of the social chain was play a newly popular card game called Magic The Gathering. To be fair Phi did not mind the game but he would prefer chess over some child’s card game.
Looking to his right he saw his teachers, looking to the left he saw his class mates, no surprise that everyone was studying on there free day as exams were slowly rolling around in the next few months. It was Phi's job to pass so he could do what he wanted because if he didn't pass and failed the exams; Phi would not be writing the story. He smiled one last time as he thought deeper and deeper, he got lost in a trance and it was odd because Audery was the focus of the trance! To say that surprised Audrey would have been a complete lie; he seemed studious and serious about his work and Audrey, being a student herself, completely understood. Despite preferring tea, Audrey was known to drink the occasional cup of java, especially durning exams. Smiling and bowing her head slightly, Audrey made her way to the front to place the order.
It was a cute little place and definitely had a warm, cozy vibe and not just because of the colour scheme or interior design of the shoppe. As she stepped up to the cash, the young woman who looked about Audrey's age greeted her with a large smile and seemed eager to please. Placing her order - one coffee with two sugars and a green tea - the perky blonde barista nodded her head and quickly went to work.
With the barista pouring their beverages, Audrey took this moment to search for Phi. He had gone to find a place to sit and sure enough he had chosen a spot on the right side of the room in a small booth. Audrey smiled as her eyes landed on his now-familiar face. He didn't seem to notice her staring, though, for he too was giving the shop a little once-over. He seemed just as observant as she was; maybe that's why they clicked so well.
When the barista got her attention and handed her the two full mugs, Audrey's small smile remained on her lips as she made her way over to Phi. She placed their drinks on the worn, wooden table as she gracefully slid into the seat across from Phi.
"Medium roast with two sugars." Audrey grinned as she carefully nudged the appropriate mug towards Phi.
"So... Phi, what do you do?" Audrey asked, genuinely curious as to what his answer would be. The question was slightly forward but Audrey wanted to know. Her eyes were bright and observing as usual as she tried to guess what he would say. Student, perhaps? After all, they had met at a library.

He could just then forget about the world and continue jotting down ideas for his book but that would rude due to the current situation with Audery. Her voice just painted images of blissful, lush green meadows as it was just so soft and delicate. What exactly did Phi do? Well he wrote books and was studying the art of literature. He got taught by a scholar and wanted to become one yet something didn't seem right in saying he was one-yet anyway.
“Well I am studying to become a scholar Audery. Books are my blood and writing is my passion. You seem like a student can I ask what you are studying or wanting to be?” Phi raised a eyebrow at the question because this girl could be a super model not a student. Looking over her once more he smiled as he took another sip of his hot java. The brown liquid just seem to make him feel all warm inside.
